Disneyland Parking

Our group of eight ( three small grandchildren) will be at Disneyland Oct 12 to 17th. We are staying in Newport so have to drive to Disney. I rented a 12 passenger GMC Savana van. Will this van be consider an oversized and will I have to park in a special area ? My current driving directions are to the Mickey's Parking at 1313 S Disneyland Dr. If I have to park in a separate area for oversize will this slow down the wait time and tram trip to the main gates.

It shouldn't slow anything down. We've gone through the main parking entrance with a bus, and after paying we were directed to go left instead of right with everyone else. You are then placed in the Pinocchio lot which is right there and is actually closer to the tram area than the regular parking structure. The only thing you might have to wait for is a tram crossing your path, but it is so easy to come and go from.

From the looks of the description it doesn't look like your 12pax van would be considered "oversize".

I would recommend parking int he timon and pumba parking lot, its right on katella. Walk out of the gate walk two short blocks to the downtown disney and you will be at the front gate. no tall parking garage, walk to tram then fight for a spot inthe evening. You will be closer to the park then being at the california grand hotel.
