Hi there...
I am flying into San Diego early Sunday morning March 6th and am heading to Disneyland for a one day solo trip before my conference starts on Monday. Any recommendations on the best lot to try for parking? I should get there between 11 and noon. Thanks!

Sunday parking can be tricky. They tend to close the entrance to the Mickey and Friends parking structure on Sunday mornings from those arriving from the south - but it is closed off and on. No way to know if it will be open when you arrive. (As an AP holder, I'm getting more and more frustrated by the parking situation.) When the crowds are larger, as they usually are on the weekends, they close that entrance and divert people to the other parking lots. If you want to avoid that hassle I would recommend going directly to the Toy Story Lot on Harbor Blvd. It means you have to ride a bus in rather than walking but that lot is always open. We took our chances this weekend and arrived to find that the structure was closed. (We arrived about 9:15am.) Ended up taking us an extra 30 minutes to deal with traffic to get to another lot.

I would head to Toy Story. Sunday's are busy at DL and Mickey and Friends might already be closed.

You can almost always get into the parking structure by taking the Lincoln Avenue exit when using I-5 North. Turn left at the light, then left at Manchester. Stay on the left lane and it will take you right up the ramp that leads into the parking structure. I have been doing this recently and it has never failed me. I do it at all times of the day weekdays AND weekends.

A couple of weeks ago I was diverted to Toy Story, and they told me I could walk or wait 12 minutes for the bus. I ended up walking to the parks, and it probably took me 10 minutes. That surprised me, but I was happy to find out it's definitely walkable if you don't want to take the bus.

I found out that this doesn't always work. I got to Disneyland around 10:30 and they had the bridge closed! I got diverted to Toy Story.

Nice to know you were able to walk from Toy Story lot. I think it would depend on where you are in the lot. Last time I parked there were were in a brand new section that was in the very far back of the lot. It was a hike to the bus!

I parked in the Buzz section, and when I got to the buses there was a long line, so I figured I would have to wait for the next bus. I need to walk anyway, so I did. Per Google, to walk from the entrance of the parking lot is 18 minutes to the middle of the Esplanade. From where I was in Buzz, 24 minutes. On the other hand, the Mickey & Friends structure is about a 15 minute walk.
