Disneyland Park - Model Set

Many years ago when i was a child, I aquired from my parents a model toy set of the original Disneyland Park in California. This toy set was manufactured by a US Toy company called "MarX Bros". Unfortunately this toy set no longer exists. Pieces were broken and were lost over the years. I would however love to find any information I can on it just to see exactly what it did contain. I remember it had a plastic sheet upon which you placed plastic models of the various rides. I remember the Dumbo ride and matterhorn but nothing else. Any other information about this set would be very appreciated.

Yeah, cool set by Marx, I think it was like early 60's. You might check eBay, once in a while they show up and usually sell for $750 or so. Search Marx playsets, there is probably a site for Marx playset fans.

In 1988, Sears reissued the set. As far as I know, the only exclusion in the reissue was the "flying saucer launcher" that was in the original. It was left out because "you might put your eye out with that thing".

All the plastic pieces were from the original molds, and it included the plastic mat you mentioned.
