Disneyland Park Apps

There is a thread on Disneyland wait apps but I was wondering if there is a Disney app for Disneyland similar to My Disney Experience for WDW. I found one app from Disney "Disneyland Explorer" but it is not what I am looking for.

I use Mousewait. It works well and is always up to date. It told me that Space Mountain was open even though it was supposed to be closed until July 4th for renovation!

We have used Mousewait app for several trips. It can run a little slow but is usually right on with wait times and has lots of other features (food lists, forum, schedules, etc.)

Thanks I just went to WDW in June and the new MDE, Magic Bands and advance FP all worked so great and simple. It will be hard to go back to the old way in Oct when we visit Disneyland. I'm disappointed they dropped the Disneyland app but hopefully one day they will bring MDE and the Magic bands to Cali. I guess since the park is so much smaller, a wait time app is really all that is needed but I like to plan everything out so I don't miss anything.

Surprising since most on this board hate FP+ with a passion. I went to Disneyland for 1 day (being a local) and had about 8 fastpasses. I don't think you can get that with FP+

I totally agree! We'll be at DL over Labor Day weekend and part of my brain is going, "What do you mean I can't make a reservation to ride RSR." I know the FP- system has its perks in terms of getting more FPs over the course of the day, but I find the FP+/MB system to be more relaxing.

I loved the whole My Disney Experience and Fastpass+ thing at Disney World too...
I go to Disneyland weekly, and I would love for them to implement the program here too. The whole thing was quite easy! Schedule three, use the three, then go to ANY Fastpass+ kiosk to add more. I only used a maximum of five fast passes one day (and most of my days there I only used the three I scheduled), but I normally don't use Fastpasses at all. I am sure if you work with the system, you could still get eight Fastpasses in one day at Walt Disney World too.

I use both Mousewait and DL Waits as both are often off on times (especially mornings when we are in the parks) so I check them against each other. I did FP+ during trial last Nov at WDW and loved it - if for no other reason than for doing character greetings. The only long line we had during our 6 day trip was to meet Buzz & Woody as there was no option for a FP+.

If DL had FP+ I'd do it in a minute to make sure we could get to the stuff that is most important for that day (then add more FP+'s after using up the first 3, if that's an option - we pulled a few paper FP's a few of the days only when we park hopped but we could have been fine w/ just the 3 FP+'s we were getting). 3 per day per park for up to 2 parks would have been perfect :-). Maybe I'll have a different opinion when DD4 is older and we spend more than 4-5 hours at a time in a park before taking a break at the hotel.

The WDW app was wonderful when it worked-and when we figured out when it was time to reboot the phone to make it work again. Hopefully they've worked out the kinks and can work on a similar DL app, even if it's just for wait times and paper fast pass return times. The existing DL apps are only as good as the folks who choose to enter the times. Each time I've tried to enter a time I run into some issue where I have to log in or something and I'm never up for that when I'm in the park.
