Hi everyone,

First of all I’d like to thank the community here for always answering my questions and jumping in with great tips. It’s always been so helpful.

I am planning a Disneyland Paris trip with my family in may. Staying 4 nights at Disney’s Newport Bay Club.

It will be 2 adults and one baby under 2. We are planning to just take it easy and not worry about missing out on all the fun things. With that said, are there some things you think we definitely should try not to miss out on? Food? Restaurant recommendations? Baby friendly spots? Shows? Parades?

Have you stayed at the Newport Bay before? I know it is more expensive but I just wanted to treat my family as we always choose cheapest options and this one time I just want to give them something nicer.

Finally, if you are someone who travelled with a baby, have you done Disney dining plans? did it work for you? We are planning to get the breakfast plan.

it will be our first time at DLP, so excited :)

I have no baby advice, as I have none. There are some nice quiet spots, like the far end of Frontierland. Near the Cowboy Cookout is a lot of seating and it's usually quiet. There is a small playground nearby as well (I am not 100% sure it has reopened.) There are usually characters meeting in that area as well, and because it's a quiet place of the park, queues are not that bad. Maybe a nice way to introduce your little one to characters.

Maybe also good with a baby / toddler are the walk through like Aladdin's and Alice' Labyrinth. Low crowds and lots to look at without being overstimulating (I think).

Another good quiet place is the far end of fantasyland near the Old Mill, you have two family friendly rides, Casey Jr. and Pays des Contes Fees. Near the old Mill is also seating.

For shows, depending on how your little one does I would recommend Disney Jr. in the Studios, then Mickey and the Magician in the Studios and the Lion King in Disneyland Park. All very good.
While this particular parade is not my favourite, it is good. There is seating near It's A Small World. You are there for the 30th anniversary, so the new show in the park might be fun as well. I haven't seen it yet. But based on Youtube it looks fun.

For hotels, I usually stay at Cheyenne or Santa Fe because I am in the parks most of the time. But on occasion I have stayed at Newport Bay, club level. I like the hotel, the proximity is nice. It usually gets a bad review because of the price, which I can agree on. The decor is nice and if you have a lakeside view, it's stunning in the morning.

Restaurants, if you are used to other Disney parks, keep your expectations low. Don't expect too much.

Thanks Karin, I’m actually really looking forward to the Alice Labyrinth. It looks super cute and I’m glad to hear that it often has low crowds.

I will note down all the other nice spots you’ve mentioned on my map :D

thank you for taking the time to reply with such detail! X
