Disneyland paris proposal

One of my friends is going to propose on our upcoming trip to DLRP and wants to do it after the fireworks. He's planning on taking her up to the castle for a 'photo' but then proposing instead. This way most of the crowds will be gone.
They then have a reservation at California grill.

Does this sound like a good idea? Anyone have any tips to make it extra magical?

It may be a good idea to post this on the DLRP board, as the experts over there will have some good ideas I am sure.
I would tell any nearby cast members what the plans are. That way, if there are any characters etc hanging about, maybe they could draft them in!!!!!

I actually got engaged in Disneyland Paris. It was a total shock!

One thing we found about DLP is that there aren't any Photopass Photographers. Like, at all. There was also a lack of characters and CMs around. We didn't get any photos of us together because we didn't know how to ask in French and were hesitant to hand over our expensive camera to someone who didn't share a language.

The castle there is absolutely stunning, though the wishing well isn't very pretty. Still, it was romantic and I'm sure your friend's plans will work out fine!

They have to remember that the park closes as dreams begin so they may struggle against the crowds to get back up to the castle. Lack of photographers doesn't help

Today 2 years ago Paul proposed to me outside the castle at DLP, first thing in the morning so we had all day to enjoy being engaged!! We we're lucky as my sister and her BF were there to take photos for us but it was lovely as there was hardly anyone around.

They will LOVE the California grill - we did the tasting menu earlier in the year and it was spectacular!!

We also got engaged at DLRP first thing in the morning when the park was empty on the balcony at the back of the castle

I got engaged on the balcony as the sun set over Fantasyland, it was stunning!
You won't be able to get near the Castle from about an hour before Dreams, and if you want it empty for the proposal, your friend will have to wait for abput an hour after :-/
I think you posted a more detailed post in the DLP section a little while back? I think the main problem would be trying to get a good background piccy and whether the bride to be minds lots of people being around. You wont have a problem with CM's asking you to leave the park though, ive been one of the last to leave before and no one was rude to me :)
