Disneyland Paris launched "Premier Access Ultimate" for 90 Euros (roughly $96.67 USD) today.

https://www.disneylandparis.com/en-gb/attractions/disney-premier-access/

It gives you one-time access to use the "Lightning Lane" (Disneyland Paris just calls it the fast lane) for all 12 attractions that have one:
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
  • Autopia
  • Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
  • Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain
  • Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Phantom Manor
  • Crush’s Coaster
  • Ratatouille: The Adventure
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Cars ROAD TRIP
There is no return time needed, you can join the fast lane at anytime you want.

This sounds very similar Universal's Express Pass (the non-unlimited version).

Curious if Disney World launched something like this, lets say at $100 per person if you would use it?

Complications abound if Disney World moved to this system - not sure if they would eliminate Genie+ and move all rides to Individual Lightning Lane / "Premier Access Ultimate" - but it is fun to think about!

For certain parks I would be willing to pay it. Certain parks I wouldn’t.

90€ is for weekdays. This is 140€ for weekends. for 12 attractions (1 time each) including low-tiers and across the 2 parks...

Makes sense that the price goes up at certain times. I wonder if they will eventually have demand based pricing similar to how Universal does it (Express pass prices go up or down depending on what day you're buying it for).

It would have to way more for WDW. $100 would be a steal.

I guess it would depend on if it applied to every park in 1 day or if it only worked for the park you have a Park Pass for too if they decided to do it.

Pricing would likely be variable like mikalkwin just mentioned the price goes up on weekends at DLP.

The thing to remember is that VIP Tours can be as cheap as $425 per hour for 10 guests with a minimum of 7 hours or roughly $300 per person. It maxes out currently at $850 per hour or $595 per person, meaning if WDW did something like this they would have to price it lower than a VIP tour or raise the prices of VIP Tours (which is likely what Disney would do).

For a family of 5 like us, it would be $500 for MK and $500 HS. If we double up the park days, that would essentially be an extra $2k for a 7-8 days trip. If this is introduced at WDW, the most I would pay for is 1-2 parks for my whole family. The rest would be stand by or after hours.

They need the scheduled times to keep the LL from getting as long or longer than standby when everybody wants to ride the same thing at the same time.

It would definitely be 100 a day per park. That’s not really a steal, that’s probably 2000 dollars more per average family.

But I do think it would be more accepted than G+

I said this in another thread but truthfully I would pay for this if it meant not having to deal with the competitive aspect of Genie+ (as in not having to try to book 1 LL with thousands of other guests at 7 am). If a pass like this included the Individual Lightning Lanes like Rise and FOP, then yeah I definitely would. But I'm also a single person that doesn't plan on having kids. The price per day for this would be insane for larger parties and/or families with multiple kids.

I would also most likely go WAY less often, make my trips shorter and supplement those days with Universal and other activities in Orlando. I do think people would buy this due to the fact that people are more than willing to pay for the VIP tours and those tours book up very fast. I'm unsure if this will ever come to WDW due to Disneyland Paris being way different in scale but we'll see what happens. Paris was the first to get a Lightning Lane system and now the US parks have that too.

But it's ok at Universal, Cedar Point & other parks but not ok for Disney... hmmm
Two reasons for that. One being the type of guest that visits Disney. The second is that due to FP guests are used to not riding something unless it's a short wait. It's why I think there is such a disconnect when discussing price. Many have it in their heads that if they raise it to $100 a person that they have to buy it. IMO the point of raising it that high is to get less people buying it.

Too many other vacation options left in this world to allow Disney to continue to steal from their customers. Really, what was essentially free under Iger is already a ripoff under Bob "Cheap"ek. So people are advocating paying upwards of $150+ just to walk through the gates? Then, if you want to enjoy the park, rake over another bundle? Where does it end? Pay per pee?

I think these expensive add ons work better on parks that are 1-2 day parks. Universal Orlando, Cedar Park, and even Disneyland Paris/CA are parks most people go to for 2, maybe 3 days. It's much more common for people to go to WDW for 4-5 days. Now if they offered a get all for 4 parks, for one day each for $250-300 or whatever I'd consider it. Also with young kids who like to ride Tea Cups and Dumbo over and over but aren't interested in thrill rides, I prefer unlimited rides being offered on at least the less popular rides.

At those other parks they aren't available to everyone due to cost and capped sales. Disney guests have been spoiled for a very long time with having a free FP system. The other difference with those other parks is guests accept waiting in line is part of going.

Spoiled? Really? What color is the sun in your world.

Paying to enter the park, which oddly enough is based on what? Rides. And then having to pay for those said rides is being spoiled? good grief.

Disney fired the wrong guy today.

Where is it stated that you must have a skip the line pass to enjoy the parks. No one complains about the price of Express Pass over at Universal. The majority of people don't have it.

Due to the changes at Disney we finally went to Universal, we had free speed passes from the resort. That was a week that would have been in Disney and the Grand Floridian. We are in the planning stages for another Universal trip over Disney. We would much rather visit Disney but one has to have self respect and recognize when you're being ripped off. It's the changes on the margin that ultimately hurt a business.

The good news, findings today from a CNBC survey: According to the majority (68%) of CFOs responding to the survey, a recession will occur during the first half of 2023. Maybe then Disney will realize how out of whack their pricing has become.

Never seen “good news” and “a recession is coming” used in the same sentence before lol

you are familiar with sarcasm. That should have been evident by this statement: "Maybe then Disney will realize how out of whack their pricing has become."
