I am trying to plan a trip for this November using points. If anyone has been to the resort and especially if anyone has used points I could really use some help!

Thanks in advance!!

Have you checked the member website for the current point chart for DLRP. New this year you have to purchase length of stay passes for each member of your party. As far as info on the parks, just go to the DLRP board here on the DIS and start asking questions. They will certainly be able to answer just about anything you need to know. Good luck with your trip.:goodvibes

We stayed at the Newport Bay Club in DLP using our points. We did have to buy park passes for everyday we stayed at the resort but we didn't mind. We used the resort as our "home base" for traveling to Paris , Versailles and even a night in Normandy (Bayeux). There is a train right at the park entrance that you can take into Paris (about 35 min ride).

We used just about all the park passes being we would go there just to walk around after touring other places. It was worth it to us because we know we could trust the Disney quality.

We were living in England from 2000 - 2003 and used our points to stay at the DisneyLand Hotel. We LOVED it!!

However, things seem to have changed a bit since we were there in 2002. When we were there, our length-of-stay park tickets were complimentary and so was breakfast each morning. Now you have to stay at least 2 nights and have to purchase the park tickets. I have a feeling that the free breakfast is gone, too.

We stayed for 5 nights and visited both parks a few times. We also used the resort as a jumping off place for day trips in to the heart of Paris. SOOOOOO easy! The train takes you right into the heart of the metro lines and from there you can get anywhere in Paris.

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will be happy to try and answer them.

Also, we traveled by EuroStart from London directly to the train station outside the resorts and Mickey and Minnie met the train ... great way to start our vacation!

Thank you all so much! I am sure I will have a million questions if we actually do get this trip together. Already, I was shocked by member services telling me DLRP is only available for bookings through November 7th. Does that make sense? They told me to keep calling back to see when Thanksgiving week would be open for booking? Am I getting accurate information?

I have been waiting since June to book for Christmas, member services have told me just to keep calling back, as they are waiting for the room allocation for the rest of the dates from Disneyland Paris.

Member services are telling everyone that they don't have availability past the beginning of November.

As I understand it, DLP is not part of the dvc scheme, so rooms have to be negotiated, and the agreements only run for a certain length of time before they have to start all over again.

Just keep trying, as I have been told by MS that the rooms are being released sometime this month.

Breakfast was still free in April. I know they were renovating the hotels one at a time too which may be the reason for them wanting you to keep calling about rooms. pirate:

This is why we need a DVC resort in DLRP.
