We can't afford a trip to both DLR & Hawaii. In the last 4 years we have been to DLR 3 times. We have a 5 yr old and 2.5 year old and these seem like such special ages for enjoying Disneyland. However, Hawaii would be a wonderful vacation too. What would you do? Try something knew or stick with the ulitmate "Happiest Place on Earth"?

Wow! What a choice! :lovestruc

Ok, I know what most people on here will probably say, but I'm just going to go out on a limb and say, Hawaii sure sounds great. Especially since you've already done Disney several times, and assuming you're going to again at some point. I love DL, but I think it might be even more special if you take a break and try another wonderful, different experience (and I know so many families who have recently taken youngun's to HI and had a fabulous time!), and then come back all refreshed to rediscover DL.

But either way, it will be great!:thumbsup2

I would go to Disneyland.

However, I am not a sun/beach person, so Hawaii holds little interest for me. Also, I adore Disneyland & California, so I may not be objective enough! :confused3 ;)

DISNEYLAND!! I'm sorry but I have an illness (disney addict). I'm going to Paris in two weeks and yet I can't stop thinking about my september trip to disneyland and if I had to drop one of my trips I would drop Paris! So take my advice at your own discretion I'm a little crazy :rotfl:

Hawaii. I've done both types of trips and I think it was easier for me to do the relaxation trip when my kids were that young. I have also taken my kids to DL and WDW a number of times, and now that our money is tight they are having trouble understanding why we don't go as often. Looking back, I wish we had put a little more into the mix so they wouldn't always have Disney expectations.

DL , I don't like the beaches in Hawaii for little ones , I almost drowned when I was a teen . Too much corral and cut feet too. Not taking my boys there for a couple of more years.

Well, since you said you've done DLR 3 times, I'm gonna have you glance down at my ticker and guess my choice . . . ;)

Hawaii, easy decision for us since we've never been as a family and we've done Disney....the 2 two trips are so different you can't really compare the two.

That right there is a very hard choice.

I'm sure glad I don't have to make it because I have NO clue which I would choose.

I've never been to Hawaii and would LOVE to go. However, I LOVE DL!

Good luck with your choice!

Hawaii, as you have done DL 3 times with the kids already I would leave it for when they are a little older.

I also vote for Hawaii. I think that since you have been several times to DL, it could be more fun to do something new.

Another vote for Hawaii! I'm thinking it'll be easier to get back to DL than Hawaii. I was born there. Maybe I'm bias? lol I spent nearly my whole life in Cali though, so it can't be that!

Sitting on the beach bores me to tears, so I vote for DL.

Hands down Hawaii!!!!

Better do it now before prices go up to visit the Aloha State which is very likely. There will always be some type of discount to come out to California and you can always drive here too. I also read that tourism is reaching its maximum peak that they were talking about limiting the amount somehow by either driving up bed taxes or some type of visitor tax.

My family is from there and honestly its very hard for us to go out there than it is to visit WDW. So if given the chance to go to Hawaii...I'd take it if I were you.

Plus there is a beach on Oahu that is recommended for parents and toddlers. I can't remember the name but I believe there is Marriott property there.

Disneyland! :) Especially with kids that age, I'd wait until they were older and could enjoy Hawaii more.

That, and I just can't say no to Disneyland. :)

Hawaii all the way! Beach vacations are very relaxing family-time trips for us.

We intersperse our Hawaii vacations with trips to DLR and WDW, but really cherish the down time in Hawaii. It's fun but more relaxing for the kiddies, too!:dance3:

My vote is for Hawaii. I have a five year old son and we went to Hawaii for the first time last summer - it was beautiful. We spent 4 days in Waikiki and 9 days on Maui. I thought we'd spend every day at the beach but I was surprised by how much there was to do and see in Hawaii. We were very glad we went!
Good luck with your decision! Either way, you can't go wrong!
