Disneyland Only - Halloween Party Night Or Not?

I will be in the LA area visiting my son in October and we were thinking about popping over to see Galaxy's Edge. I will be in town October 16-21 and we would have to visit Disneyland either Saturday, October 19 or Sunday, October 20 - and Sunday the 20th is Oogie Boogie Bash at DCA. Which do you think will make for the least crowded Disneyland day? Or will it even matter? We're just coming for Star Wars and won't park hop but I'm not sure how the Halloween party being at DCA might affect the crowds at Disneyland - does it make them less because folks are headed to DCA for the party or more because people have to leave DCA if they aren't attending? Or is it just a busy time and it's going to be crowded no matter what?

(Annnnnd - I'll be in town for the opening of Maleficent 2 - my son is an fx artist and making his major motion picture debut. He made Angelina Jolie's Maleficent horns Please go and see the film - I would like for him to continue being able to pay rent! )

I'd go with Saturday as Deluxe APs are blocked out but not on Sunday. I think this will have a bigger impact on DL than OBB at DCA.

Congrats to your son!! I admit I don't love Angelina Jolie but I do love Maleficent and I did enjoy the first movie (DD14 even dressed up as child Maleficent for Halloween back when that one came out and she was 9) and am looking forward to the second!
