Hi, I'm going to Ca. this summer to visit my sis with my bro & his fam. so I was wondering with DVC how many can you put in a room in Ca? The woman at MS said we can fit up to five in any of the hotels Is this true? My brother doesn't have much money and I would love to share a room with them. Also which hotel would you stay at and why. We love the ca. one but we are only going to be here a couple of days and will be in the parks the whole time. My nephew has never been to Disney and I can't wait to share this with him. :thumbsup2

All 3 DL hotels have rooms that have 2 queens and a day bed. We have had 5 people in a room at all of them...although the day bed can be small, we found that they are larger (or at least they seemed larger) than the ones at WDW. As far as which hotel, you can't go wrong at any of them. We love the Grand Californian, but we chose to stay at the Disneyland Hotel when we used our points, just to save some points for later in the year. The decor at the DL is the best (they recently re-did the interior of all the rooms so the themeing is fabulous now)...plus the rooms at DL are LARGE. We also found that the rooms that can accomodate 5 at Paradise Pier (at least the 2 times we had them) are in locations where they are shaped different (not just a square hotel room) so you gain a bit of space in them as well. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of the 3 (we have never been), I would look at the point difference and decide what you are comfortable using for your trip...

Have a great time pixiedust:

We stayed at the Grand Californian. With the point reduction we thought it was well worth it. It was a nice treat.

you can also get a 1bd room, 2 bdroom on points. we are staying at DLH for easter in a standard room, there are 5 of us, i think the points were 32 points a night. a 1 bedroom was doubled, i think about 64 points a night. I thought for double of the points i could just book two rooms, but the more i thought about it, if the rooms are bigger at DLH and we get 2 queen beds plus a day bed for 5 people that should work out fine.

We are staying in a one-bedroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel in July. I was told it sleeps 6. We chose it because we are a family of 5 and we thought 5 would be too many in a single hotel room, this has an additional living room area. I think it was somewhere around 50 points/night, but this is peak season.
