I was at Disneyland yesterday with my nephews, and though there were crowds, it was very manageable, in my opinion. I tried to get there in time to say hi to jetskigirl before they went on their Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, but we weren't in the area at that time.
The weather, though a bit cool in the evening, was wonderful, with sunny skies, and the park looked so beautiful all decked out.
We had been there on Thursday, and we actually left Disneyland after the park had closed. As we were walking down Main Street, they rehearsed the lighting of the castle... we were the only ones on Main Street being escorted out, and the cast members came out of their stores one by one to watch the show.... then it started snowing. It was just magical.
I mention that because I had noticed (and how could you not), that the Christmas tree hadn't been put up, and the floral Mickey was still in its autumn colors. Everything changed by Friday, and we were able to enjoy the Christmas decorations yesterday. The park looked beautiful!
We are going back today, and at Flag Retreat, my nephews and I will be there to honor our veterans.
