Wow, haven't been on here in a while! But I knew you guys could help us out. We were thinking about going to Disneyland on New Years Eve and we were just wondering if they do anything special at all. And if so do you have to pay extra for it. The Disney website was not very helpful with this so hopefully you guys know more. Thanks! ::MinnieMo

As far as I have been able to tell they do the standard countdown at midnight with fireworks and the park is open until 2am. All for the price of admission. :)

Be sure to get there early as the park routinely reaches capacity and no longer will admitt new guests.

to expand on what Christa said.... get there EARLY! There will be 58,000,000,000,000,000 people there, as this is a big time of year for tourists to SoCal (for the Rose Bowl and the Rose Parade). You may want to consider getting there on the 30th and waiting :)

I would get there early, do the Park as quickly as possible, then get your hands stamped and go to DTD. Make sure you get back in time for the MSEP, if it's going that night.

You are braver that I am... DW, DS and I were there on Jan. 2nd of this year and the place was so crowded we didn't even go in. It was a nightmare.

I would advise against leaving the park. There is NO Garentee that they will let you back in to Disneyland (though you would be allowed in to DCA, unless of course they reach capacity also). As for MSEP it is no longer at DL it is at DCA as the Disney Electic Parade.

Good call Christa, I never considered not being able to get back in.

I haven't been to DL in like 7 years (they had just broken ground on DCA last time I was there) ; since I now no longer live 20 minutes away it's kind of hard :) I had no idea they had moved the MSEP.
