So will it be packed? We are trying to decide which park to hit on Mother's day-Disneyland, SD Zoo or Legoland. Which do you think will be least crowded or should we skip that day all together and go to the beach?

We will be going to Mother's Day this year. I'm crossing my fingers it won't be packed.

If you have time go do the brunch at the hotel if it is even half as good as the ones I have done in the past it is amazing!!

This is coming second hand, so don't hold it against me if it is not true. A friend of ours went with her kids on Mohter's Day last year and said that the park was empty. We are contemplating going this Mother's Day if we can get confirmation that the crowds are light.

We took this that Father's Day would be the same. What a mistake. Still had a great time, but was not prepared for that crowd.

Its $52 according to this link and $13.50 for kids 3-11 (not a bad price for kids)

You also get a discount with an AP.

Let me tell you though we thought it was very worth it and are hoping to do it ourselves. The food is very high quality and delicious. There are charecters to take pictures with, a pianist playing all your favorite disney songs by request. One year they had some one carving fruit.

The really nice thing was that everything is spread out so you feel comfortable, the food is repeated so you don't have to walk far, the service was stunning and they don't rush you out. Our group stayed for about 3 hours and had a wonderful time, we didn't eat the whole time (more in cycles through the group). And even though we ate so much, it was all so good we all wish we had, had just one more of something.

Mind you this is coming from some one who HATES buffets!

On discounts I was also thrilled (though don't quote me on this), that my one AP got a discount on everyone in our group of 10, even though we paid on seperate cards. I would expect them to still give the entire bill a discount though with one AP, you just might have to pay with one card or cash.

Hmm...interesting. We might be in LA for mother's day this year, but after going on a normal weekend last time we were going to avoid weekends. If it's not going to be too crowded though...lol. I'll have to see if anyone else has input. Based on how crowded our tiny local zoo was last mother's day, I can't imagine it wouldn't be busy!

That link with the brunch prices is from 2003! :rotfl:

I went to the Thanksgiving brunch this last year, and DBs family always goes to the Mother's Day one - he said they're basically identical - so I could recommend it! :thumbsup2

And oooh, the desserts... :worship:

Call Disney Dining, they have the reservation and price info at least a few months beforehand! (And you pay when you get there, not over the phone).

I went to Knotts last Mothers Day because I thought it would be too busy at DL. Knots had about 20 people in it - really weird. It was busy at DL from what people said. We came back later and got a cute picture at DCA then went over and watched fireworks. I would've LOVED to do the brunch. I wasn't aware there was one until after the fact. They supposedly had PRICESSES! It was at the DLH ballroom?
