Disneyland...OMG!!!!!!!!!!

It is. I have no idea why they never brought those projection effects to the final room on the MK one. They'd be about equal but for that.

I've never understood why the cash cow of the Parks division is always treated so badly. Not sure if it's the lack of desire to have any downtime for attractions, money, lack of interest from WDI or just poor management.

It gets old. While I'm definitely against building copycat attractions, this would have been a fairly simple upgrade that could be done during an extended refurbishment.

Last time we went, we had a great meal at Blue Bayou. Sad to see hear the quality has decreased.
Last time I went, I had a really great meal. My previous favorite entree (filet and lobster) was absolutely terrible the last time I had it there, and that was pre-Covid. It has been really good the 3 times I've eaten there in the last year and a half.

I would say Pirates is definitely better, though HM I think is a closer contest. The WDW one had the slight edge until Hatbox, but they are getting him too, so. I was skepitcal of the GOTG change for ToT, and while I don't know if it's better, it is really fun - however, Cosmic Rewind is a game changer! That ride is so great. Anyway, there's always going to be some things better about each park, which is just a good reason to go to both!
well said!

I haven't been on ToT for a long time, and was surprised how toned down it felt. It felt like a kiddie ride, almost. I don't think we dropped more than 3 stories in any given drop.

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is the best roller coaster I've ever been on. It is fantastic!
I agree Cosmic Rewind is simply amazing. By far the funnest (I know that isn't a word, but it sums it up so well) ride I have ever been on. I left each time grinning from ear to ear. It is so much freaking fun.

Headed to WDW next week for 15 days! Can't wait to experience Tron, Cosmic Rewind, Remy, Tron, Rocking Roller, and Expedition Everest for the first time! I love me some DLR but I can't experience them in CA. BTW, is MIckey's Runaway the same at DL and WDW?

OMG. ME TOO, but I was grinning on the actual ride! I haven't had that reaction to a ride in a very, very long time. I probably looked like a total cheese ball.

One of my favourite lines goes something like this:

"An Englishman thinks a hundred miles is a long way; and American thinks a hundred years is a long time."
Ha ha! Me too! I believe it is from Diana Gabaldon. Either that or she borrowed it.

How was the motion sickness factor? I keep reading that it’s a vomit comet.

I know you weren't asking me, but I also find myself laughing/ smiling the whole time I'm on Cosmic Rewind and I am prone to motion sickness. I take motion sickness meds every night before bed on vacation and find that if I keep my head straight and focus on what's in front of me the only ride I can't ride is Star Tours. But everyone's motion sickness is different. But I'm glad I tried CR because it's my favorite and I have never felt sick on it.

I didn't have issues, but some people do seem to have an issue with the rotation of the car's. They don't really "spin" but more jsut point you toward what you should be looking at. Still, it could be disorienting combined with the large projections, etc. I would say though that if you are not generally succeptible to motion sickness it wouldn't be a problem. One of the great things about it is how smooth it is - it feels kinda like you are just hanging in space!

She is probably my favourite author, I am re-reading the Outlander series for probably the 20th time right now!

Ooof, I could not handle it at all, to such a point that I had to have a little sit down after before I could continue with our day. Having said that, I also feel sick on Star Tours although not at all on FoP so... :confused3

These lists have been done before, but I can't help myself.

Better in California DL:
Weather
Food
Less Walking
No buses need
DCA is my favorite park (personal choice)

Better in WDW:
Animal Kingdom Is Unique
EPCOT World Show Case of Countries
Disney Springs
More Hotel Choices
More Restaurants
Water Parks
Other Parks: Universal, Sea World, NASA, etc.
Cruise Access

Love both locations but DL/DCA is our favorite.
I think I actually agree with the list above pretty much 100%. Went to WDW in 2021 as any self respecting DL vet needs to go at least once. stayed at the Poly (what an awesome place) and spent 2 days each at each park. had a great time but wow the weather is brutal! (we live in oregon so the combo of heat/humidity was terrible)
