Disneyland NYE 2012

My wife and I are planning our honeymoon/family vacation for New Years Eve 2012. We're a little late planning for 2 months away but we're gonna go ahead and do it anway.

Anyone have any helpful tips and info? I heard it was a nightmare during New Years due to New Years Day Parade and Rose Bowl Parade.

If you go to the parks on NYE do not leave! It will reach capacity and not reopen. I've heard DCA is fun on NYE.

It is the busiest day of the year. Literally wall-to-wall people. Many people choose to do it once as a "been there done that" experience, but if you're just wanting a fun family vacation to Disneyland, NYE is NOT the day to do it, as crowds are the most they can possibly be! You might also have a hard time booking a hotel if you haven't already. If you can, however, as the PP said, get to the park that morning and don't leave!
