We have a trip planned for september 9-15th and i was wondering since the halloween season starts on the 14th if the parade that day will be Halloween? also is this a slow time of the year to go? We are hoping so since it will be myself my mom and my 2 kids ages 3 and 1. Also i will be 29 weeks pregnant so the slower and less crowds the better!!

The parade will be the regular one for Mickey's Calvacade (the Halloween Parade) is only performed during Mickey's Halloween Party.

We've been to Disneyland mid-september and crowds were very low. Almost every single ride were walk on.

We have gone the last 3 years on the weekend that is the start of Halloween (DF's bday is the 16th). It has always been a fairly quiet weekend with pretty much walking on every ride. The only exception to that is the NMBC HM. That will have about a 45+ min wait from the very start. I recommend doing that early on Friday when the line is still fairly short.

However, this all comes with the caveat of I don't know how the reopening of DCA will affect those days. I would presume it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but I know that the reopening has thrown all of the touring plans that used to be effective, out the window.
HTH!

Monday through Thursday next week should be really pretty quiet. Friday and Saturday are predicted to be busier.

Especially for the week days I would through any thought of a touring plan right out the window. With grandma, kiddos and baby on the way I would try to explore one area at a time and take it easy. You've got plenty of time to see it all. The first time I took my daughter she was four, we also had the grandparents in tow, and I exhausted everyone trying to crisscross the park in search of short wait times. I would also concentrate on rides and attractions for the week days and shows and entertainment for the busier days.

Hope you have an awesome trip. Take advantage of all the off peak Disney you can get before those little angels of yours go to school. Mine started kindergarten last week and practically broke my heart.
