Disneyland new pool open!!

UGGGH! I hate those Order kiosks at Captain Cook's at the Poly (by the way, if you want a hamburger there - as opposed to a double meat burger- it is listed as a "side item" and if you don't know that, you won't find it). I hate to see they installed them at DLH! Trader Sams looks great though.
I'm not sure about the pool. The monorails look great as far as design, but the pool itself doesn't seem that impressive in the pictures. Guess I will have to wait to see it in person!

I wonder if they have different coffee than the parks? Maybe a nice Kona blend !

Does the new pool area have a hot tub??? We will be there when the original pool is under rehab, so that will be the only one open for us.

Yes it does, if you open the link I posted above from the Disney Blog, you can see it near the very bottom of the lounge chair area.

We will be staying from July 23-30th. Are the slides the only thing open or is there in fact a pool? I love the DLH but since we will be there a week, I am not sure if we should book the PPH or DLH...:confused3

I have two DS's ages 13 and 9. I know that they will want to swim, so any information would be fantastic!!

I haven't seen anything firm that the big pool will be close this summer. However there are rumors out that it was supposed to close a couple days ago and next week.

In any case there is a small pool open that is part of the new addition. Take a look at this link, in the lower photo you can see the whole area. The new pool has a bridge over it. The old pool yet to be rehabbed is the large ameba shape in the upper right.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will decided not to close the never land pool during the summer. I am prepared for it to be closed, but one can dream right??? :dance3:

Sadly, the Neverland Pool closed early this week. I saw photos on another website of them taking the cool pirate ship apart. Personally, I think it's a mistake to remove the theme - but then again, I love all things Pirate - POTC and Peter Pan.

Can you post a link?

Are either of the Monorail slides suitable for younger children? Anyone know?

All Disney Resorts have family frienly slides. As long as the child can swim, though floatation jackets are provided also at the pools. While the big monorail slides might be too adventurous for some in the preschool set, there are two long simple slides for the smallest ones.

Super cute pool and FP tickets just for staying at DLR?! I am definitly switching my reservations from offsite to DLH this summer! :cool1:
