Disneyland makes parking improvements official

I wonder if the bridge will be accessible by everyone or just come straight from the structure? Seems like getting people off of Harbor as much as possible would be a good idea, that intersection is always a mess.

I imagine it will be similar to the ones in Las Vegas they built on the busiest intersections of the Strip.

Makes me sad.

Carousel and Anabella are owned by the same company, and Anabella is on its way out in 2018 for a soulless convention hotel. Sad.

Were owned by the same company. Disney owns Carousel, they bought it. Did Anabella sell out to the convention center?

Where's the official announcement? The article in the link from OP says the announcement is official, but it is a third party website.

Hopefully Captains Kidds will disappear sooner rather than later. A sorry excuse for a buffet. Now Pizza Press would be a real loss.

to those who have booked who are being moved to the Anabella I would ask for a discount for the inconvenience. Its a much further walk to the Anabella and if you book with distance as your #1 reason for picking a place like I usually do then you just got the bait and switch. You deserve a discount for being moved further away. I like the feel and look of the anabella better but I would be pissed to be moved further away. Those booking across the street expect to be staying across the street.

As much as I understand your point, it is not the fault of the hotel. I have a very good friend that works at Carousel. Their lease on the land was set to expire 3/31/17. Disney decided to exercise their right to give a 90 notice to their tenant. So its really Disney's fault, not the hotel so no bait and switch going on either. Oh and also just so you know, all these employees are being laid off with no type of severance package or anything. So yes you may have to walk further, but at the end of the day you still have your job and a way to support your family. In 83 days may friend will not unless another job can be found.

Yea, I don't think they had any idea that their last operating day will be 10/17/16. Otherwise the manager would not have helped me reserve a room for the 20th and 21st. Luckily I have a backup reservation at BWPPI, so I will likely stay there instead of the Anabella (because of location).

My SIL was trying to book 15th at the Carousel but they said no more rooms after the 15th.

We've stayed there many times and will really miss it. I liked it, I thought it was convenient, clean, and comfortable. We switched to the Quality Inn in November and keep staying there becuase of the cost. Much cheaper than the Carousel most of the time.

Now my family will cry if Pizza Press is demo'd! I hope not. I really hope we get to eat there again come October 14th - 16th!
