I collect high-end, limited edition, Disneyland stuff. I've got some of the Olszewski miniatures (Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Main Street Station) and the 50th Anniv. train to go with it amongst other thing.

For Christmas I setup a larger gauge Lionel Polar express train in the living room. I am thinking of adding a Disney train. I was thinking it would be cool to buy all the Disneyland Land Big Figs (Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and I think Adventureland) and placing them next to the track around the living room.

I like to buy stuff that will at least hold its value if not appreciate. I suppose if I get a good price (under retail) of E-bay I don't have to worry about losing its value as long as it doesn't get damaged.

I know these are a completely different animal from the Olszewski, true-to-life miniatures, but I'm wondering what anyone who owns or has seen these thinks about their quality and value for the money. Apparently at least on of them has sound I think and the other just have lights. Are things very detailed and very good quality? Does anyone know about their availability? I heard rumors they were taken off shelves for a while because they had Star Tours and Indiana Jones rides depicted and George Lucas didn't give them licensing rights for them? Which ones are currently available through Disney Delivears? Are they limited run or can we expect these things to be produced for several years?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. My funds for collectibles are running low and I don't want to waste my money.

Thanks!
