Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

I-15 through Provo and Pioneer Crossing could affect you. Luckily, you can be in the HOV lane through American Fork (assuming it's not closed), which makes a big difference during busy times. I think Utah County traffic is much worse than Salt Lake County traffic.

I'll let you know if I hear anything else! :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Thank you. I am still waiting on a current pic of :yoda: Do you still have my gmail?

Our week looks like it is going to be well represented by the dis. Doesn't it?:hippie:

The DIS will be representing in the 714! :cool2:

So I thought I will take this lull in trip planning (:thanks: Disneyland) to share more of my culinary quest.

So you all know we have Blue Bayou for lunch, Stroyteller's for breakfast, Naples for dinner, and Cafe Orleans for beignets and coffee :lovestruc

Wine Country is still up in the air as is everything remotely near the WoC. ;)

I made 2 more PS today for 6/12 when we meet my friend for dinner in DTD at Rainforest and Ralph Brennen's. I cannot decide which to do. We have been to many RFC and they are good, not great, but fine. We haven't tried RBJK and the menu looks pretty good. Any thoughts? I am also not 100% set on DTD and may consider GardenWalk. Any insights there?

As far as other restaurants, our must-do list includes:

Disneyland
~ Redd Rockett's
~ Plaza Inn
~ Stage Door Cafe
~ Royal Street Veranda

I would like to enjoy if given the time
~ Bengal BBQ
~ Coke Corner
~ Troubador Tavern
~ Hungry Bear

Now I didn't realize DCA had SO many good choices so my must-dos are:

DCA
~ Cove Bar
~ Pacific Wharf Cafe
~ Taste Pilot's Grill
~ Award Weiners for DH :rotfl2: He gets this weird chili-dog obsession when at Disney. :confused3

I would like to try if given the time
~ Cocina Cucumonga

I realize we only need approximately 6-7 meals at Disneyland and 3-4 at DCA aside from the PS we have. Other than Storyteller's I don't see us eating any breakfasts outside the villa.

Hi All! It's been a few weeks since I checked in, been doing a bit of traveling for work but I'm settled back in and caught up on the thread! I have to say, I'm so excited for you Jenny and Kaoden39, your trips are soooo close! I can't wait to see your pics and trip report! I'm so excited for you guys, you'd think I was going in June, but I have to wait until October!

I love the itinerary Jenny, your so organized. I appreciate your help with my first trip to California and Disneyland, I atleast have the hotel for Saturday, 10-2 booked (Hampton Inn) which is a step in the right direction. Here's what I have open to figure out:
1. Dining
2. Groceries
3. Cabana at the pool
4. Something special for my nephew to celebrate his b-day. Actually looking into a birthday basket delivered to the room.

Also - booked a few days in August at the DVC in Hilton Head for my and my friend...girls get away weekend! She's decided to call it Thelma and Louise head to Hilton Head....but that just makes my husband nervous! LOL!

I Love food planning!!! We are doing Rain Forest Cafe the first day in. We'll have to go back for a volcano later.

Have you checked out restaurant.com? I got $25 HofB cert for 2 bucks. They are always running specials on the coupons. So, spend min 35 plus tax and tip, get @25.00 ff. 5 girls times 5 desserts = $35.00 with $25.00 off. You have a bigger group. Are you sharing all meal times?

GardenWalk has PF Changs which has great lettuce wraps for appetizers and cool dessert shooters for a couple dollars. We love it there.

At DL we like HungryBear for the grill ceaser chicken salad and the kids love the burgers there. It's shady and you can watch the river activity from their deck.
:mickeybar

We will have to do the chili dogs too. Scotty and Kody both are chili hounds. I saw the broccoli cheese soup in the bread bowl. That is what looks excellent to me.

 October is one of my favorite times to go and the original reason we got APs. Oh the sweet irony of not being able to go.

Did you at least get to go anywhere cool for work?

:rotfl2: Hilton Head looks like great fun! Can't wait to read all about that!

I think a basket is a great idea. My guess is that Disney can theme it anyway you'd like.

If you'll have a car there is a Target and Food for Less each about a mile away. If not, Vons.com delivers. :thumbsup2

sierranevada posted the cabana prices somewhere in this thread and they weren't bad at all- cheaper than Vegas. I will see if I can find the post.

Volcano? Sounds like I have been missing out.

I haven't been to the House of Blues. Is there one in DTD? We share most of the time. That is a great deal.

I  PF Chang's lettuce wraps. Yummo! I need to look at the GW link again. :confused3

I do love that shady quiet area. They used to have a BBQ chicken salad similar to the one at Taste Pilot's in DCA but it ins't on the menu anymore.

We will have to do the chili dogs too. Scotty and Kody both are chili hounds. I saw the broccoli cheese soup in the bread bowl. That is what looks excellent to me.

The broccoli cheese soup does look good. I would eat almost anything if you stick it in a sourdough bread bowl. DS love that soup too and Gabby loves clam chowder.

Yes we will!! 32 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy fun. I have now made more reservations for dinner on 6/12. I have been on the Garden Walk website and have a reservation at PF Changs and McCormick and Schmick's. I called Bubba Gump as well and found out their reservation protocol.

Me too. Number one on my list is suntan lotion.

Mine is glow sticks. :hippie:

June is obviously the cool month!! All the cool kids are going then!!:rotfl:

:rotfl2:

And (for AJF1007) if you're staying at the Hampton, it's only a few minutes to walk to the Target. That's where we stayed last year.

I like your food choices, Jenny. We love Pacific Wharf and Taste Pilots. I'm hoping to branch out and try Jazz Kitchen and some other places this year, but I'll probably be overruled. :confused3

I have to upload my pics, but then I'll try to send you a link so you can see :yoda:

I think they will try to overrule me too. :rotfl: Chloe saw ham and cheese on the kids' menu so at least she is on my side. :cutie:

Are there some on your Facebook? I will check?
