Hello all and Happy New Years!

For my 30th birthday my wife and I have thought about taking a spur of the moment trip to DL in the last weekend of January. We went last March (didn't see Pirates) but loved the experience (vetern WDWers).

So my questions:

1) Is it crowded that time of year January 26-28th
2) Is the AAA fast pass still around

1. No, that time of year is definitely off-season and will not be crowded (check park oprating hours on DL calendar, that's always a good representation of how busy the park is expected to be).

2. AAA Fastpass is a thing of the past. Sorry.

Happy birthday! And a very nice present. It won't be crowded, and I'd say fast pass will be totally unnecessary on any day but Saturday and Sunday, and even then only at peak times.

Enjoy!

One of the slowest (and coldest) time of the year.
Have a wonderful trip :)

We're going to Disneyland!

Thank you for your help everyone. I took the plunge today and put down a 3 day reservation at the Disney's Grand Californian for Mrs. P and myself.

Dinner at the Blue Bayou and lunch at the Carnation Cafe - two things we missed in March of 06. I can not wait to ride Pirates - it will probably ruin WDW's for me - but oh well.

Kinda bumed that the AAA Fastpass is gone but since it sounds like the crowds will be thin it will even out.

Can't wait.... thanks for your help!

We went that time last year and the weather was ok, warm enough to be down to short sleeves during the day, but chilly enough at night to have a coat. I suggest Layers...........

have fun....
