Hi :) We are going to Disneyland in June and was wondering what the weather will be like?

Last year we went in the middle of July and it was really hot and crowded, just wondering if June ( the week of June 20th to be exact) will be the same way lol

Thanks !!

About the same for crowds. Better for weather.

Thanks, thats what I figured. Dont mine the crowds so much if it wasent 95 degrees outside and I swear, people dont have a sense of personal space while waiting in lines lol

Hi there & welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

I'm moving this over to our DL main board since it's dedicated to planning DL trips. :)

The past couple of Junes have been a little on the cool side, so you'd probably want sweater/sweatshirt in the mornings/evenings, and then shorter sleeves during the day when things warm up.

Oh, sorry! This board is kinda confusing! Thanks for putting it in the spot its supposed to be in!!

Good to know, id love for it to be a little on the cooler side! Was going to let the kids play in the ocean, but guess not now :)

Its hard to say with June, I have had my sister and her kids here the past 2 years, first in late May, then in mid-June. The first year (09) in late May it was really hot, they are from Seattle and they all ended up with heat exhaustion. This year we went in early June and it was warm, but comfortable. My best advice is to be prepared for either, if its too cold to swim in the ocean they can wade, and if its 100 degrees out plan afternoon pool/hotel breaks.

pretty typical for temps to reach 80s or low 90s for anaheim in June but it does cool down in evenings/mornings. California actually has very nice summer weather normally. Last summer was brutal for California though so you just never know. Always check ahead to be prepared. I think it is much better than Florida in June.

Ok thanks guys :) We are from Oregon, so anywhere we go, its hotter LOL I hope its not "too" hot, but not " too" cold either! I wanna be comfortable on vacation, not miserable....especially when walking 1/2 mile too and from the park ...not to meantion the 10 miles you already walked IN the park :rotfl2:

One little thing. This June might have an unusually high crowd level because of the 4 new additions opening around the end of spring/beginning of summer.

1. Ariel's Undersea Adventure (DCA)
2. Goofy's Sky School/Paradise Garden (DCA)
3. Star Tours II (DL)
4. Mickey's Soundsational Parade (DL)

These will certainly bring in a bunch of people to the resort. Just saying...

In SoCal, we have something called "June Gloom".. and June is often cloudy, a bit on the chilly side, but really quite pleasant. I'd pack one pair of pants, a few pairs of capris or shorts, t-shirts, and a few sweatshirts to keep you nice and comfortable!

Ariel's Undersea Adventure will be open?? I HOPE so!! They were building it last time we were there and ive been trying to figure out when they were opening it!! Im OBSESSED with Ariel, so this just makes my day :)

Also , We are excited about Star Tours 2! That was the first ride we ever went on when we went last July..my hubby is a Star Wars fan (me, not so much) lol

Thanks so much for all the info! I want to be more prepared for this trip than I was the last!!

This is exactly what I was thinking of packing!! I dont really mind waiting in reallllly long rides, as long as its not 90 degrees :)

Right now it is expected that LMAUA and ST will open in May. So you should be good! :goodvibes

For June, layers are key. I prefer fleece to sweatshirts (don't absorb moisture--June Gloom is damp fog), but wither will work. Stretchy gloves that are on clearance everywhere right now are nice for evenings. Have FUN!
