We will be there in 27 days and I can not wait. I know the parks will be in major transition from halloween to christmas at that time I am not sure what to expect. So I thought I would ask you folks what I can expect. We will be there to experience the DVC event on Nov. 2nd and then after that we will be there just to have fun and enjoy the parks until the 6th. Is there stuff that will be closed to change the decor? Other than all the things they closed for Star Wars land is there anything else that will be closed? Will there be any parades or fireworks at that time to plan for?

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

We know much more about WDW even though we have been visiting DL once a year the past few years. It is still very new to me.

We will be there for the exact same dates! Taking advantage of Dapper Day rates. :) There will be quite a few closures at the beginning of the trip as Critter Country is closed until through Nov. 3. So no Pooh, Splash Mountain, Hungry Bear, etc. Also, small world and jungle cruise will be down to receive their holiday overlays. And finally (at least I hope!), Space Mountain will be closed on the 2nd (to remove Ghost Galaxy) but reopen on the 3rd as Hyperspace Mountain.

What is the DVC event on November 2? Is that something in the parks?

Yes it was a limited sign up event you had to be very quick. It is in DCA the event is from 8:30pm to 11:30pm. Members get in early with their event tickets. You have to have signed up and gotten your confirmation email and they will have your name on a list. There will be exclusive swag and in park events as well as special meet and greets. The park will close for the event I am not sure what time. It is in celebration of the DVC 25th anniversary.

Thanks; I'm not a DCV member, but I will be in the parks during that time, and it says DCA is closing at 8 (which is when it's closing the day before and day after, actually) but for planning it's good to know that DCA that night will have more crowds than usual!

I agree it is probably important to know that many DVC members may be there enjoying the park prior to the event making it more crowded
