Any advice on which tower might be best (Adventure, Fantasy or Frontier tower) and why?
Look at a standard room. Thanks in advance.

I like Fantasy tower, like the carpeting as well as the layout with the front desk. Adventureland tower is a premium with the tower facing the parks. My least favorite is frontier, just because Im not much into the cowboy thing.

I've only ever stayed in the Adventure Tower but the resort isn't huge so IMO it doesn't really matter which tower.

However, I believe that...
Frontier is closest to parking
Fantasy is closest to lobby
Adventure is closest to DTD

We stayed in Fantasy the last time we were there and had a great view of the pool area but I don't think that was a standard view room. I think this trip we have a standard view room so will probably end up looking at a parking lot! I would love to stay in Adventure with a view of DTD but I doubt it will happen.

We stayed in the Fantasy tower. Booked a standard room on Orbitz, but called hotel to request a high floor with fireworks view and we got it! Our room was a two queen room without the sofa/daybed. It was just after Thanksgiving so we enjoyed seeing the gingerbread house and carolers in the lobby. Nice surprises at the end of a long day :)

ive only stayed in the Adventure tower with a DTD View. With a standard room i dont think it matters much. just request highest floor available to dramaticize what view you do have. unless you cant get around very well the walks to basically anything on the grounds isnt very far at all.

I love Frontier tower, but that's only for the suites. You get a great view of both the pool and DL from the higher floor.

Thank you all for the replies! Looks like the best request is higher floor. :thanks:

We have stayed in both the Adventure Tower and the Fantasy Tower. While the Fantasy Tower is convenient because you have the Front Desk and the gift shop located right in the building, we prefer the layout of the rooms better in the Adventure Tower. But as was mentioned previously, it really doesn't matter which building you are in as far as distance to the park. By the way, we have only faced the parking lot once, and that was when they upgraded us to the 11th floor (at least I think that was it. I know it was really high!). Other than that, we have always had a pool view. Which I love!

I think you're more likely to get a better view room if you don't request a higher floor. That's because there are many otherwise premium or deluxe view rooms that are downgraded to standard if the view is partially blocked. That's usually due to overhangs, building edges and landscaping, and often there is still a view of the pool, DTD, etc. Standard rooms in Frontier tower are my least favorite. I always request Adventure tower, even with a standard room. It's just my preference and there are no parking lot views there :)

Fantasy is the shortest walk to the parks. We stayed on the 10th or 11th floor (I can't remember) in a standard room, which means overlooking the parking lot. But we did have a 'slice' of a view of Critter Country and BTMM when we looked east out of our window. We had to stand right at the window to see it, but there it was!

We don't care about 'views' because we're only there to sleep, swim, or change clothes. IMHO, it's just not worth the extra $$$.

My reservation is for this coming Sunday through Thursday... are you saying I can call them and request a tower??

Yes, you can! Call the hotel directly, not the Disney reservations line. You can always put in a request, but there are no guarantees. It's worth a shot. It worked for us!

I like the Fantasy tower, too, but the Adventure tower has generally been the shortest walk for us. You're almost in DTD. If you go in/out the DTD-side entrance, you're just right there.

Thank you for the advice! We check in on Wednesday next week and I wasn't sure what to request. Now to keep my fingers and toes crossed!

We were just there in frontier tower. I really liked it. We were on the 5th floor with a direct view of the pool Disneyland sign and trees. I liked the view, bug others may not. We had requested adventure tower. It seems like all the towers would be good. We were happy to get a big room with the couch. We loved the hotel.

I agree! It's hard to go wrong at DLH. It's such a fun hotel!

I just called to request the Adventure Tower. Now here's to hoping I get what I asked for! pixiedust::genie:

We also stayed in the frontier tower on the 5th floor with a pool view. Standard room with a day bed/couch also. We really liked it. Only difference was a little longer walk to DTD. No biggie though. The grounds at the hotel are spectacular and we actually enjoyed it. :-)
