Disneyland Hotel

I have heard that the laundry is closed at the moment due to the pool renovations and that you can use PPH.

Can anyone confirm, and does anyone know when it is expected to be reopened?

Thanks

It was closed in January (along with the fitness center) because it was in a tower that was being refurbed. I would imagine it's open by now. But yes, you can use PPH if it's closed. You can always call and ask.

ETA - just checked mouseplanet and it is closed. I'm surprised. But it's not a bad walk to PPH. And the fitness equiptment is set up in another room. http://www.mouseplanet.com/9716/Disneyland_Resort_Update

Can anyone tell me which towers new names corresponds to the old names?
For instance the last time we stayed at DLH we stayed in the Wonder tower, so what is that tower called now and what is the tower called where the lobby is etc...

Thanks,

Laundry was not open as of last Friday when I was there and you had to go to PP if you needed laundry done. Here are some pictures of the beautiful room I had in the Adventure tower, overlooking DTD last Friday. The blue tint in the picture is from the windows. You just couldn't ask for a better location and the room was fantastic. The only problem I have now, is I won't be able to ever take a cheap trip to DLR and stay offsite. The hotel completely spoils you for anything else, imo, of course.;)

Notice hidden Mickey in the tile pattern on the wall. The bathroom has awesome detailing.

This is the new look of the lobby/entrance of the Adventure tower.

The detailing is crisp and clean. Very well done and has a quality feel about it

The carpet was even themed and jungle crusie style music was playing softly in the background. Kind of a stupid picture, but I wanted you to see the detailing.

Thanks,

The Wonder Tower is now the Frontierland tower, the magic tower with reception is now the Fantasyland Tower and the Dreams Tower is now the Adventureland Tower.

Hope this helps.

Lovely photos! I would love to be able to book right now for our July 2012 first trip to DL. We are saving & need to wait closer to the end of the year to make the final decision. Can't wait:goodvibes

Thanks for the laundry update. Would love to know when it will be available again! I will be there for eight days so I am sure a laundry trip will be on the cards at some point, although I guess I can check out the PPH. Would just hate to go over and have no machines available. It is bad enough having to laundry on holiday without worrying about washing.

You will probably be fine. All of the work at the DLH is supposed to be done by the New Year and I would guess that really means Christmas. You may see small touch ups being finished but I doubt anything that would be a problem.

Thanks Skiing Fast.

I also think you would be fine and as always, please call the hotel directly before you leave to find out. That way there shouldn't be any hidden surprises.

I have read that when you get to the hotel you can see if there are upgraded rooms available. Anyone have suggestions or experience with this?

If you mean upgraded as in remodeled they are all done so everyone gets the new rooms now.

If you mean upgrades as in to a suite or better view you may ask but usually need to pay the difference.

Hi Disneyfan - thanks so much for the room reviews and photos!

I hope you don't mind if I link to them from the Disneyland Hotel Superthread.
