Does anyone happen to have some recent (after renovation) pictures of the DLR standard rooms? The first page of this thread has all red x instead of photos.

I have been considering GCH as a big surprise for my girls' 16th birthday, but as I've been reading through various threads so many people are saying that now that DLR is renovated that the rooms are larger, prettier, and more Disney themed, so I'm wondering if DLR would be a better choice for us! "I" love classy, but my girls love theme more....their favorite WDW resort is POP, mine is POR, lol. Guess where we usually stay, lol.

Anyway....any photos, advice and maybe even a lead to a discount rate (or some encouragement that one might come available for late June) would be much appreciated. This is a big expense for me as we usually stay at Holiday Inn on points, so I want to make the right choice if I'm going to spend a bunch of money!

I joined earlier today and this is the second forum or blog or post (I don't know the lingo yet) that I have visited. The reason for my confusion is that I now know this site is a big deal, but the first pages that I visited about Ramada Maingate Hotel, the last post was from like 10 years ago. Now this one for Disneyland Hotel is about the same. Am I going to the wrong areas?

So the purpose of this was to tell a bit about my experience at Disneyland Hotel recently, as it compares to our normal stays at Ramada. To read more, pleae go to my original post on that review page. I just wanted to say that we stayed at Disneyland Hotel about a year ago because Ramada was sold out and found it to be nice, but nothing that Ramada Inn isn't. They have done some nice renovations and we stayed in one of the newer rooms (on 4th floor with firework view) and were very happy. They are really moving on up.

We have stayed their for years and always enjoy the value and basic and affordable rooms, but it is now stepping up its game and competing with the likes of the nicer properties.

Even with the awesome view, it can't beat the view from Disneyland Hotel tower, but overall we enjoyed Ramada last time as much or more that Disneyland Hotel and overall it is much cheaper. G I love these little emoticons
