Disneyland Hotel, which view/tower to request?

Hi,
We will be checking into the DLH on September 1st and have paid for a preferred premium view. I am really having a hard time deciding what tower to request. It sounds like the Adventure tower is easiest to get in and out of from Downtown Disney but that the Frontier tower is closer to the pool entrance, is that correct? Is it hard to get to the pool from Adventure tower? I keep seeing pics and it seems very confusing to get around the grounds. We will not be arriving until about 10pm so I want to request something before we get there.

So I guess what I am asking is for those that have stayed recently, what would you ask for?

Thanks!

We were in the frontier tower last week with a pool/downtown disney view and loved it. You can only access the adventure tower on one side (the side facing downtown disney). Adventure is physically closest to the parks, and to access the pool you would walk out in a general walkway and go around the tower to the front of frontier .

For us, I prefered just walking right out. I also liked being a little further away, but still seeing the fireworks/etc.

If you end up requesting Adventure-make sure you request downtown disney view.

Tagging onto this question...do you request a specific tower/view in advance or when you check in?

Prior requests are welcome but not automatically honored. You will be left with what is available when you arrive to make a request of.

I'd would ask for the Adventure Tower, because it provides the best views, only DTD/Parks/Pool and is closest. You won't see a parking lot like you could from the other towers, and you will enjoy being closer to the parks more often than going to the pool.

Just back from DL Hotel. I was in upper floor, Frontier, pool side. You have a view of the completed area of the pool, the slides and the hot tub. We saw the fireworks EVERY night (if in the room) from our room. I could lay in bed and see the Matterhorn and Space Mountain in the distance. LOVED it. Frontier is the most "done" from what I could see. the lobby is lovely and you can exit from any side of the lobby to go outside. Closest to the pool and the Tiki Bar, etc. And the geyser is cute, the outdoor fireplace is nice if the smokers have not taken it over.

Fantasy is a nightmare if you want to use the pool. You practically have to walk thru DD. (also true to get from Frontier to the front desk or hotel shops though).

PS: If you are in Frontier, and can't park in the tiny Frontier side parking lot, park in PP. It is much closer than going all the way around to the DL Hotel garage because of the construction detours.

Now I am so glad I asked this :)

I was leaning toward Adventure but it sounds like Frontier may be the better choice if we want more of a resort feel.

My husband is running the 1/2 marathon and the rest of us are doing to 5k, so I'm not sure he wants to be that far away from the start but it's not that much further between Adventure and Frontier and I really don't want Fantasy.

Is a Preferred Premium view automatically given an upper floor?
