Although this upcoming trip will be our 6th to the DL Hotel, we've never been with a baby (he'll be 10 mos old by then).

When I asked the hotel if they have cribs, they said they have Pack-n-Plays in every room. Is that like a playpen? Is the bottom padded at all? Is it as deep as a playpen? He's a chubby baby and it might be a bit hard lowering him into a super deep bed! I'm wondering how he'll sleep in it.

Another thing they asked us this time that they haven't asked in the past is whether or not we wanted a daybed in our room. I told them we did because, if I remember correctly, rooms with daybeds are slightly larger. Is this correct? We've been in both types but with a 3rd child now, the more room the better!

Do the rooms with daybeds always have the larger bathrooms as well? The 2 we have stayed in did but I didn't know whether or not that's the case with all.
:yo-yo:

A play pen is pretty much like the pack-n-plays. I don't think the little pad is all that thick or cushiony for a little one but I used to take ours and have the litle guy sleep in it. My son was chuby too and he fit and all but yes it can break your back lowering and raising the little guy! Of course with a chubby one you are more used to it than most;)
I think you made the right choice with the daybed,in my experience those rooms are a little bigger than the standard ones.

Pack N Play's are just like a playpen and are pretty deep. The sides do not lower. The bottom is padded.

I can't answer your question about the daybed, sorry. We haven't been there yet.

We just got back from DLH and our room did not have, nor did it have room for, a day bed. We were a little bummed about the size of the room, as it was really tiny. We were the very last room on the hall, however, and part of our room seemed to be taken up by the stairwell. I would assume that the rooms with a daybed are bigger than ours, as there was simply no where to put one in our room....

In my experience, the rooms with the daybeds/sofas are definitely bigger than the rooms without. I can definitely say that the room without one was not really big enough for our family of four, and I cannot imagine how small it would have felt if we had a pack'n'play set up in the room as well.
