Disneyland Hotel Questions

We're about 2 weeks away from our first trip to the Land and we're pretty excited. I know you can make room requests online when staying at WDW, but can I do the same when staying at one of the DLR hotels? If we can, and since we're staying at the Disneyland Hotel, are there any specific requests I could be making? What's the best tower?

Thanks in advance!

Best tower is going to vary. I had read many times on this board that Frontier Tower was the worst, so when we checked in and they told us Frontier, my heart sank a little. We went with it and loved the Frontier Tower. We had a pretty awesome view(premium view) and not once wished we were in a different tower.

Most people, from what I've read, will request either the Fantasy or Adventure towers, sometimes specific floors or rooms.

Some people prefer certain towers because they are "closer" to the pool or DTD but in reality all three towers are within a couple hundred feet of one another so that's never been an issue for me. I'm also one of those people that's not at all picky about the view from my room because honestly I'm there to enjoy the room itself and the amenities (pool), what I happen to look out at doesn't diminish my experience in any way.

I also personally prefer the Adventure Tower's theming just because the Jungle Cruise is one of my favorite rides, but I've stayed in Frontier tower before too and it was lovely.

Basically what I'm saying is it's hard to go wrong at the DLH! :thumbsup2

We liked Deontier, too. Especially once we realized we could go out the back and walk out towards PPH and Grand to walk though there instead of through the mall (dtd, which I dislike as much as I dislike malls), and it was the same distance to the center of the esplanade.

I like teh adventure tower the best, u can request which tower you want and i have also got the tower i wanted,.Fantasy tower is good too, never stayedd at frontier tower

I would call the hotel directly to make a room request. When we stayed there in 2014 I called and spoke to a CM. We only paid for a standard room, but I requested a high floor with fireworks view and we got it! That was in the Fantasy Tower facing the parking lot. I think we were on the 9th floor. This past March I stayed in the Frontier tower which was nice as well, but no view, just the parking lot. The same two queen bed room was much bigger in the Frontier tower though. Some rooms have daybeds as well. I think you just need to decide what your priority is (room configuration, tower, view, etc.) and put your request in for that. Have fun, you will love the hotel!

We have been in Frontier Tower and Adventure Tower. I like the Adventure tower better for theme and also our stay/view in frontier tower was meh......This time I requested Adventure Tower and we have a Dlx View so hoping for the best.
