disneyland hotel questions

Has anyone stayed at the disneyland hotel? if so has anyone upgrded their rooms and is it worth it? we normally stay at the newport bay club which is fine but fancy something a little better.

its really the location that you are paying for...
for us we just loved the fact it was so close to the park...

the rooms are great.. not over luxurrious.... but lovely.. and well maintained..
couldnt get into castle club tho.. but i think the rooms are the same pretty much the same.. although the view might be better from some rooms..

but you have access to more facilities and free snacks and the lounge etc..
