Disneyland Hotel Pools Closure

Can anyone confirm that the D and E ticket pools are now closed as scheduled (January 4th - late spring 2016)? I know the weather may not be pool friendly this week, but the signs should still be up or notes left under your door for guests...

In addition, does anyone know the extent of the renovation to a relatively new pool system? The length of time (3-5 months) seems like a fairly extensive overhaul.

We have a reservation in March and if the pools go down as scheduled I can better estimate if they have any chance of re-opening by our trip (March 13th). We have a back up plan, but prefer the DLH if at least one of the pools and slides are open.

Anxiously awaiting updates and a real "re-opening" estimate.

Thank you
Mike

we got a letter a few days ago informing us of the pool closures and our date was the same as yours (3/13). Switched to the GC since it was only $200 more (with AP package).

We've been to the GC the past couple of times and our soon to be 8 year old wants to try PPH. So we will actually be saving money while trying a hotel we've not been before. It may be our only time...

We prefer the DLH over the GC, but with the pool closed it really makes the DLH less appealing. We will save the DLH for a meeting trip in July! As my wife said, "relax we will have a great time at the PPH and our son has always wanted to stay there...stuff happens for a reason".

The AP rates were ok, but the combo of Ebates, Orbitz and the 20% general public rate made Orbitz an even better deal! The last time I used Orbitz during an AP offering the very nice cast member at check in still gave us the FastPasses and photo voucher. The photo voucher is a thing of the past, but will try for the Fastpass as it never hurts to ask.

Thanks
Mike

I was bummed about the pool closures for our trip this week until I saw the weather report.

Oooh, thanks for the tip about asking for the FPs if you have an AP! I also booked our March GCH trip through Orbitz because it was a better deal than the AP rate. We've never stayed there before so looking forward to it! Hope you enjoy PPH :)
