Disneyland Hotel Pool Renovation?

Hello! This may be my first time posting over here in the DL side of the Dis! My daughter and I have been planning a trip to DLR for years…this was supposed to happen this past June for her High School graduation but we put it off to next May 2022. even though I don't post much over here, I've read a LOT of your very helpful posts and wonder if you all have any suggestions for me.

As soon as I could I booked the DLH, as it's been a dream of mine to stay there! We currently have a Deluxe View room (which I've been wanting to ask about also…don't know if we should change to a Premium or Premium DTD view? But I digress…)

My real question now is, after watching some of the changes coming from D23, especially the DLH Pool renovation, should we even stay here at all? The announcement didn't say when this is starting or when it will be finished, but maybe I missed that? While at WDW, we definitely enjoy our daily pool break and we were really looking forward to spending time at the monorail pool.

I'm sure I'll have more questions coming up, but this is the most pressing at the moment! Thanks!

The hard part is predicting what the construction will be like at that time, which none of us can do. I can tell you that the current construction for the DVC tower is not having any affect on what it's like to stay there. I am not a public pool person. So, losing the pools wouldn't bother me at all, but if that's an important part of staying there for you, book somewhere else. If the pools are closed, you'll have access to the other hotel pools. You do have the option to cancel up to 5 days before your stay. You have plenty of time to wait it out and see what's going on at the time. The Grand has been running a lot more expensive lately, but you might prefer staying there and just taking a nice day visit to DLH.

Thank you for your reply!

I don't mind the construction…until it involves the pool. That's a deal breaker for us.

I have a package booked so is it like WDW where it's 30 or 45 days?

It is much more expensive and for some reason just doesn't appeal to us…but I guess it's better than PPH.

I'm following this because I have a trip with my 4 GrandKids in March, staying at DLH. We definitely need the pool and the slides.

It's weird there hasn't been more of an official announcement. If I see anything, I'mm come back here and post.
