Disneyland Hotel - need help on email address to complain!

We just returned from a weekend at Disneyland and we had a great time except for the hotel! Our room was dirty and smelly (the hotel just smelled) I know it's old but the rooms were so shabby for $200 per night! I expect more for that kind of money - at least a clean room if nothing else! The carpet had stains all over it, the ceilings were that old popcorn look and yellowed and the bathroom floor was dirty as well - We thought ok - its only 1 night but then we went to the pool to relax - UGH! not only was it way over crowded, but the water color was very suspicious if you know what I mean! we decided not to even try it, the kids were playing in the hot tub and coming out with armloads of foam....gross....and there was empty drink cups, napkins, paper plates just rolling around all over the place, the garbage cans were overflowing and I saw the bar staff just standing there talking to each other! nobody came around to clean at all...we were so disgusted we finally just left - I must say I was shocked this is a Disney run property. When I went to guest services they just looked at me and said nothing! I asked for an address so I can write a letter but I would also like to send an email! I was really bummed - I didn't pursue it more when we were there because my husband just didn't want to deal with it...he wanted to have fun...so I let it slide but honestly I don't think this should go without a serious letter to them....so if any of you know what email address I may send my complaint to I would appreciate your posting.

Otherwise we had fun at the parks, and really enjoyed listening to Marston playing at the Mondavi winery - that was my favorite part...just relaxing with some wine and listening to him play some wonderful music...

It was very crowded, but we seemed to get on everything we wanted without too much of a wait, it was a bit hot...so not being able to go use the pool was a bummer...especially since this was one of the reasons we booked the hotel in the first place...so we could go and relax in the heat of the afternoon and return refreshed later in the early evening!..

Ok - enough of me...any help with the email address is appreciated!

Wow, disneydixie, I'm so sorry to hear about your experience! We stayed at the DL Hotel earlier this year and the room was sparkling clean and recently refurbished.

Here is a link if you would like to e-mail the Disneyland Resort about your experience:

Disneyland E-Mail

Be sure and put the appropriate message title in the pull-down box selection so your comments will be directed to the right person.

Good luck! :)

Beware of the email...I recently got back from DL and tried to complain about the appearance of the park. I chose "comments about recent visit to Disneyland" finished my email and it wouldn't go through due to the fact that I needed to choose an area to send it too, which I had. I wound up having to chose other to send ...I guess Disney doesn't like complaints.;)

Thanks so much for the email address...I just sent them my thoughts...but I too had to choose other to finally get it to send? I guess they don't want to hear complaints!!

Thanks again for the help!:) ;)

I would call the hotel and ask for the name of the hotel president and the director of hotel operations, and send a letter to both.

I work at a major hotel casino complex in Las Vegas. Letters get much more response where I work, particularly letters sent to top executives. Hope this helps.

Wow....we had just the opposite experience in June.

There are a very few rooms left that haven't been remodeled. I didn't think they were being used.

The people who handle room assignments at the DLH are very accomodating. They might have been able to switch you to another room, if you had been able to speak to a room assigner.

This is what I do when I can't get information on where to send a letter.
I tell the person that I speak to that I had a WONDERFUL stay and want to write a nice letter to an executive about our room, hotel, restaurant, (pick which one would fit).

They are more apt to give you the name and address vs calling saying you had a terrible experience and want to voice your dislike.

I always try the truthful way first but if I feel that I am getting the run around then I call back and try the other way.

I also do write if I have an exceptional stay. It's always nice to get good letters too.
