I heard some recent work was done on the Monorail Pool. Can anyone confirm if that pool has reopened? I'll be there next week and we're super excited to try out the slides. Would be a bummer if they were closed.

I called Disney today and they said that the Monorail Pool opened yesterday, February 15! So it should be open when you stay!:jumping1: WooHoo!!

Ah, Kriss just beat me to it! I called last week after a family from my church had said it was closed during their stay. You would think that this would be listed somewhere among the hundreds of refurb lists that exist. I'd never heard this until our friends told us. I called right away and they said that it was to open yesterday. And it looks like that is confirmed. Glad we didn't get stuck in that refurb. Spend that kind of money and the slides are down with no public information out there. I bet there were a lot of unhappy folks. Especially since the temps were hitting the 90s last week.

We are here now and all the pools were open today! It has been lovely here. At least once you manage to find a chair around the pool!

Yes, they are very comfortable temperature. The weather has been remarkable!

Anyone know what they were working on?

DD3 and I are staying DLH in a couple weeks and trying to decide if we'll bring swim stuff if the weather looks good but my experience last fall has put me off the DLH pool area a bit. When we were there last October the Monorail slide and splash area was significantly colder water than the pools. I found it uncomfortable to play in that area with my kids because the water was so cold but the pools themselves were like bathtubs. It didn't bother my kids at first but they got cold quickly and we kept having to take trips to the pool to warm up (then always had to go back to the slide because they liked the slide part, just not the temperature) Has anyone else found this to be the case or was this a one off situation (or I'm a wimp)?
