Disneyland Hotel - inside scoop?

As for the parking lot near the Wonder tower (on the south side), I asked the valets about it and one said it only has 18 spaces! So I wouldn't count on parking there. We debated pulling our car around there to load our luggage, but the roundabout directions to get into it made it seem like a lot of hassle to use.

Is a lower resort view or resort/pool view worth the extra money??? What's the difference between the two and which towers?

Is it worth it? Depends on you. For me, yes. The difference between lower and upper is simply how high you are and thus how much you see. You can see farther, generally, with the upper view, but I'm not a big fan of heights so I don't care about being way up there. The difference between resort and pool view is resort is on the DTD side, so you see that area. Resort view is only (I'm pretty sure) in the Dreams tower. The pool view is on the other side of Dreams and on the front of each of the Magic and Wonder towers. In Wonder, the pool view would be a higher floor because on the lower floors there are things that would obstruct the view. The back side of Wonder is a parking lot view and the back side of Magic is parking lot as well, but there are other nicer things to see on that side (like fireworks and part of the park).

If you request resort view, you will be in Dreams tower. However, I don't think they guarantee resort view--only resort/pool view, meaning you get one or the other.

If you go concierge, request Dreams tower as that is where the lounge is located. I think it would be a pain to have a concierge room in another tower. I don't even want to be on another floor!

Thanks! I wish we could do concierge. If there is a good AP rate maybe.

We got a really good AP rate last year for Feb. -- only $189! But then they had something going on with the lounge during our stay and they moved us to GCH concierge instead. :woohoo:

Oh snap! Got to love when something like that happens!

We stayed in the Wonder Tower this summer and although I liked how far it was from the noise of the resort (I'm a big no-noise person in my hotel room), there was a constant beeping sound coming from the loading dock outside the windows that faced the parking lots. It stopped through the night, but started early, early in the am and went on throughout the day.

We've also stayed in the Dreams Tower, both concierge and not. The pool view was nice, again, not as much noise as the Downtown Disney views. But I have to say, if you can afford it, the concierge level is worth every penny. The magic tower is nice, too. But I liked the Dreams Tower best. Closest walk to and from the monorail as well.

we stayed there a few weeks ago and we were in the wonder tower.

It's really not a long walk at all from the lobby or form the DTD entrance. But we are also used to walking the value and moderate resorts at WDW so the DLH is miniscule in comparison.

We had a room on teh 14th floor i think??? not quite sure but we had a view of the hotel grounds and to the right you could see the GCH, space mountain and DCA. It was awesome. I don't know if teh lobby of the dreams tower is teh same as teh wonder but the lobby of the wonder tower was huge and had a lot of couches adn chairs to sit adn relax in.

Also, as a PP said, teh pools are awesome. We did not use the main pool but we used both of the cove pools and they were perfect for me b/c i wanted to swim laps in teh pools.
