Disneyland Hotel - Family room for 5

Hi all,

Can anyone give me a description of this type of room at the Disneyland Hotel?

Thinking of booking of booking for our next trip and was curious about room sizes, bed types, etc....I'd be really grateful for any advice

The rooms are very large. They come with two double beds and a sofa bed. We also had a cot in the room, but there was still plenty of space to move around. I found the room to be of no higher quality than the others I have stayed at. The bed was so hard that even I, who generally sleep on a firm bed, slept poorly. The location is excellent, though - especially once you discover the hidden entrance, which saves you a 5 minute trek through the hotel to your room.

Thanks C3PO - sounds roughly like the usual setup we have at the Santa Fe - what is the sofa bed like?
We normally split it so its my two older daughters in one bed, my wife and youngest in another bed and me on the sofa bed....the sofa bed in the Santa Fe is actually quite comfortable

Hidden entrance you say....where is that one?

It's a sofa with a mattress on it - for one person. Looking at my photo, maybe I should have slept on it!

The hidden entrance is by the entrance on the left when you are facing the park. It's close to the pool. For some reason, it isn't labelled on the map.

I didn't realise it at the time, but I think we've had these rooms at least twice when staying at the DLH. We have never booked them though. I think it was the time before they started charging for anything they felt they could squeeze an extra euro out of as we've had terrace rooms a few times too! The 'family' rooms were nice especially as there were only 4 of us, quite spacious (we didn't use the sofa bed at all). But as previously said, other than that, no different to other DLH standard rooms - bathroom the same size as normal etc.
