If anyone has been lately I wanted to know how bad you felt the construction was around the hotel. Also is the pool closed now and will it likely be closed in the fall as well? Any date yet on when its expected to be completed?

Just returned from a 4 night stay at dlh. I did not think the construction was bad at all. The only way it was really noticeable was when we looked out our window because we had a pool view in the fantasy tower. The Mickey-ears shaped pool is still open, the others pools and the hot tub were closed. I would have loved to have had the hot tub open, especially since the hot water in our shower didn't really work, but that's a topic for another thread...

Any indication how long they will be working on the pool?

Should be back up by mid-May.

From Disneyland website:
From January 7 to March 2019, the D-Ticket Pool, Mickey Spa, Minnie Spa, Monorail Pool and waterslides will be unavailable. Hotel Guests are invited to enjoy the E-Ticket Pool and will also have access to the California Streamin’waterslide at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.

After March 2019, the D-Ticket Pool and Mickey Spa will once again be available to Guests, but the Monorail Pool, waterslides and Minnie Spa will remain unavailable until May 2019.

Does anyone have any photos of the current pool refurbishment at the Disneyland Hotel? We're planning on being there for a week in mid-March (crossing fingers that some of the construction will be done by then and that one of the hot tubs will be open!). We're a group of five adults and were hoping for some relaxing pool time during our vacation. I know that the big pool will still be open and that Disney hides their construction pretty well, but I was wondering if there was any looming, less-sightly construction around the Monorail pool slide work area, for example. Any thoughts or pictures would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The monorail pool is the one with the most construction going on. I took a picture when we were there in January ill try to find it.

Like Malcon10t wrote by mid march the D ticket pool and one hot tub should be open.

ETA: we stayed in frontier tower and did spend quite some time in the room and did not really hear much construction noise but could definitely see the construction

I was there Jan 22-25. I could hear the construction from our room in Fantasy on the 10th floor. Did it impact us much? Not really. Did it deter from the view and our enjoyment? Yes, it did a bit. However, such things are necessary and we got a good winter rate so that's just the way it goes! There was a big construction crane while we were there. There was no water (obviously) in the monorail pool or any of the pool parts in that area. They were working on the cement in the jacuzzi and pool areas. There was fencing and scrim stuff all around those areas. I only have a bad picture of me in front of the window of our room, which I tried to cut down so you could see the background better and not my face *grin* but it's still a bad shot. If you look closely, you'll see some of what I mentioned and the guys in hard hats working in that area.

Has it been said if they are going to start any other construction after the pools are completed?
