Hi everyone!

I'm so excited - booked last week for a stay in September in the DLH with the flash sale. It's the first time I've stayed anywhere higher up than the Cheyenne and so pleased that I booked it!

Can anyone tell me what the breakfast is like in comparison to the lower rated hotels / the old Good Morning Fantasyland breakfasts? All I can see from various websites is that it's a character breakfast, but nothing about the food itself?

Thanks :)

You are going to LOVE the DLH :goodvibes
We stayed there a few years ago after staying at the Cheyenne and now will never stay anywhere else in dlp, that's why I'm always booking in sales *** it's so expensive but worth it!
The breakfast is great, the characters don't actually go inside the restaurant but have a civilised queue at a spot just outside the restaurant doors. This is now the only time we get a character autograph and picture *** in my opinion it's the only fair place *** everyone actually queues nicely....
The cm is at the door and seats everyone personally ( I love this-no scrums) and the buffet is gorgeous, plenty of fruit, eggs, bacon, toast etc. The decor is great, very relaxed, no rushing or feeling like you need to vacate your table for another family.
You really do get what you pay for, have a great time.
I'm currently waiting for a good deal for next June so we can stay at the DLH again :wizard:
Hope this helps :goodvibes

We had a fab time at the DLH in March. The breakfasts were lovely...from memory there was...

Bread Rolls
Cheeses
Various Cold Meats
Cereals
Yoghurts
Various jams, chocolate spread etc
Fruit Juices
Scrambled Eggs
Sausages
Bacon
Pancakes
Fresh Fruit
Lots of Pastries...croissants, pain au chocolate, mini donuts

Hot drinks are served at the table and they offer tea, coffee AND hot chocolate which we didn't realise until the second day.

I haven't been anywhere so can't compare but it was very civilised and didn't feel too busy at any point. It opens at 7.30 and we usually went about this time although I know that some people do EMH first then come back for a late breakfast.

Enjoy!

Thank you both!

Actually so excited about this! I think I'll have to make this visit my first Trip report :-)
