Hey all! I just need some advice. We'll be staying 2 nights at the DL Hotel and I've never stayed there before. I've heard of people getting upgrades or something at the last minute before. is this typical? Is there a good way to go about this? What else do we need to know about staying here? THANKS!

I would ask if there are any posibility of an upgrade. Call a few weeks before and day before.

I've had success getting there early on the day I check in and asking if an upgrade is possible. I've been lucky 6 out of the last 8 stays at DLH and received upgrades.

What is considered "early"? I mean we have 3-day passes but 2 nights so we were going to get there around 9 in the morning to hit the parks when they open. I don't think you can check-in untill like 11 or later.

I've checked in at 7am before and wasn't given a room until after 3pm - I stayed at another hotel the night before and just ran over when I woke up. Other times have been around 10am. You're going to have to park anyway, why not just do it at DLH that morning and check in - the rest of your party can head to the park.

Cool. I'll have to give it a shot. My wife recently had back surgery too and we're thinking about bringing her wheelchair. Do they have any special programs for that sort of thing?
