Disneyland Hopper deal

Don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but In doing some research for a post on the Debate board I noticed that Disney is giving away a free day on there hopper passes if you purchase online for a visit before Dec 19 2001.

The 3-day at $111.00 becomes a 4-day and the 4-day at $137.00 becomes a 5-day.

Just wanted to let anyone making planes to head out west know. Plus its yet another example of Damage control.

There will be MANY different ticket schemes coming along in the next few months – all of them an attempt to jump start attendance at California Adventure. As an example of how desperate things are, discounted Cast Member tickets to DCA are six dollars cheaper than discounted Cast Member tickets to Disneyland. Even Disney’s own employees balked at paying the same discount rate for the new park verses the old one. A permanent price reduction for DCA is now a definite possibility.

Attendance flat-lined again the week after the Main Street Electrical Parade reappeared (the increase was due to Annual Pass Holders and handing out additional free tickets). Summer crowds are a little more than half of the revised plan, and off tremendously from the original estimates. The clone of ‘Millionaire’ will open just after Labor Day and the first week will see another attendance spike (again, the Annual Pass holders and freebies), but will fall off quickly after that. The plan is to hold to the 10am-6pm operations for as long as possible before they begin to close the park for whole days. October and November look to be extremely bad months and no one is sure what’s going to happen then.
