So excited, just booked our hotel for 10 nights in may! Between airfare and our entertainment rate at the HOJO and our amazing canadian dollar, we are paying under 1400 for flight for 4 of us and hotel...I will have enough airmiles for 3 our out of 4 disney passes(7 day) and my mother in law is letting me buy our last one with hers....This trip wasnt planned at all, ran into these great deals, and figure, why not!!! The countdown is on...Have to hope our local safeway keep up these crazy spend 100 get 250/spend 200 get 500 airmiles that has been running almost continuously since last april! Any other canadians going to disneyland in may???

Wow...which Safeway do you go to? Mine don't give those kind of airmile rewards. It's usually buy $100, get 100 airmiles.

I am in bc, but to get cheap flights, we are driving to Seattle...it is only an extra 2 1/2 hr drive and it saves us well over a 1000 dollars...we are going to fly jet blue! Flying out of seatac and into long beach!

I LOVE my airmiles...all our disney trips we have been able to get all, or almost of all our passes for free...our local safeway has been running a spend 100/get 250 or spend 200/get 500 since last april....there have only been 4 or 5 weeks out of that they didnt have it...unfortunately, i spent a lot of my airmiles recently (new computer, new camera, $1000 at rona, etc) as i wasnt planning this trip....I do have enough for 2 right now, and a few more trips to safeway and i will have my third(if they keep the crazy promotion running)....

Just booked our flights with Airmiles for end of November and once the Airmiles for my last trip to Safeway are posted I'll be ready to order our four 7 day park hoppers as well! Then we will be saving all our Airmiles for Best Western gift card to use for our stay at BWPPI. Looove our Airmiles! Sure wish we got some of those bigger bonuses at Safeway like jakoky, I've never seen a spend 200 get 500 bonus and only rarely the 250 bonus. We have been seeing the spend 100 get 100 very regularly though.

Our local Safeway started this during their "grand re-opening"... We live on Vancouver island, and are so lucky that they keep running this promotion...lol, the first 3 months, I kept thinking "ok, this it, it will be the last one" and I spent SO much on groceries...I finally had to go back to normal spending once the promotion Kept going...haha...we a family of 5, and my kids all older, I do spend a lot on groceries so the airmiles do add up fast

Our last Disney trip way HoJo in May too! Our next is DW in sept!
We have always driven, but now of course with it being DW instead of DL I too will be making the commute to Seattle.

Thanks carina! DW, very jealous, we were there in December 04! I am short 1345 for my 3rd ticket, lol, gonna have to "super shop" this next few weeks....gonna spend just over 100 tomorrow and should get another 416....have an awesome trip, how long are u going and where are u staying???

Was at Safeway today. Spent $214 (was $364 before club card and coupons were deducted)
Made 770 airmiles ( best ever )

That's $105 in airmiles if using them for giftcards

Carina, were u at our local one? I went today to and got the highest I have ever gotten! I spent 218 and got 975....the deals were insane....I am almost there for my third ticket after today! You are just like me, I put it into money perspective...."I spent 218 and and got enough that would cover two passes up the mountain-$140 equivalent. Yay us...( your before price was better than mine-wow...mine was only 307 before savings)

Yes I was in Port yesturday. I actually thought it would be funny to run into you there, only I don't know what you look like...lol

I know I could have done better miles wise had I stocked up more on the Kraft promo - that 2/$5 Canned soup and boxed broth made for a GREAT deal and the toilet paper was also a good deal. But I just don't have enough $ in the budget to stockpile things right now, so I focused a fair amount of money on BOGO stuff too. Especially sine I had coupons for a fair amount of BOGO stuff - making the deals even better

Hubby is using 605 airmiles for a roundtrip flight to AB this month, so that value is even better than the GC value, but the rest of the airmiles are for things that average $0.15 per airmile, so that's what I used for the calculation.

I think the disney tix are about $0.13 cents per airmile so you spent $218 and made $126 - not too shabby!
