Hey everyone. this is my first thread I'm posting! not to sure how to do it... but hey might as well go for it!
Let me start by saying i have not been to disneyland in 5 years so not to sure what to do at all.
I'm planing to go to disneyland with my boyfriend, his auntie, her son his husband and there 2 kids.
we are going to be staying at Park vue inn. i believe we are staying for 9 days. Now my boyfriend and I don't have much to worry about money wise, however everyone else does. Im planing on bringing the kids to a character dinning. I don't really know much about the dinning in disneyland. I was thinking of doing ariel's grotto because all the girls LOVE the princesses. However is it really easy to meet all the princesses?

Thats my main question for now as i plan our trip HOWEVER if you have anything else I should do in Disneyland please comment down below and let me know!

You have made it onto the Disney World Board. You'll probably have more luck posting this over on the Disneyland Board. Click on the Link below.

Hey there..

It is very easy to visit with the princesses.. they have their very own meet and great arena.. over near Its a small world.. there is usually one standing outside near the bridge and then 3 or so inside.. you will meet one.. then move round a wall to meet the next and so on. there is also a small theater on the outside and they do a show .. I believe you can ask the C/M before you go inside who the princesses are at that time.. I dont know if they have it on the info board at the front of the park..hope you all have a great trip.

Meeting the princess in DL is pretty easy, but it does depend on whether you want to get most/many of them at once or if you're willing to wait in multiple lines. The most consistent meet and greet location is the the Royal Hall at Princess Fantasy Faire. THere are usually three princesses inside, but which princesses vary, so you'll have to check with the CM when you get there (there is often also a sign outside saying which princesses are currently meeting guests). Outside of the Royal Hall, near the walkway, is usually where Rapunzel (or maybe Merida) meet guests (weather permitting). Tiana usually meets guests in NOS. You might find other princesses near the Mickey Floral at the entrance, but that's a somewhat random meet and greet location. Ultimately, the princess meal is a way to meet multiple princesses while dining without any worry (i.e., you know you'll see princess at Ariel's Grotto for breakfast and lunch), but you can also see a fair number in the park if you're willing to wait in multiple lines.

I thought the princess m&g moved from that location (FL Theatre -- now home of Mickey and the Magical Map) to PFF. The pp described what happens at PFF.

Duh. you are correct.. I had been awake since 1am and was not braining correctly.. sorry about that.. :)
its now called The Royal Hall and between the entrance to Fantasyland and Frontierland

Park vue inn has breakfast so that will def help with saving money, if I am staying somewhere with free breakfast I don't like spending money on the character meals in the morning so that leave Ariel's and Goofy's, we ate at Ariels the last time and the food we didn't really like so much but my daughter LOVED meeting the princesses, they come around to your table as you are eating and you meet Ariel when you first walked in we like Goofy's food alot and our last trip the Genie was there and my kids were so excited about that but I have heard they have now changed it where it is always the same characters there which is bummer but if you want to just sit and wait for the princesses to come to you Ariel's is the place but the Royal Hall has shows to see too with them so if you are going to watch those anyway you would prob do jst as good meeting them there.

that really sucks because i wanted to go to goofy's for the random characters!

Welcome! How old are the 2 little girls? That would help determine what might interest them besides princesses.

You're a DisneyWorld regular right? There are posts on DL for DW vets and on things that would differ within the parks. That might be a good place to start to find out what is different so you know where to focus your attention

one is 12 and the other is 9. Im pretty sure they don't even know who Mulan or Pocahontas are so they are not overly important... ( I would LOVE to meet them but this trip is not for me)

and yes i go to dinseyworld A LOT lol

It's very kid-oriented. I'm debating if I want to give up a couple hours for it Lol. But my kids would definitely love it. I think your girls are a great age too!

ya they love disney. I was showing them videos of princesses in disneyland the 9 yearly was so exited to meet them but the 12 year old was like "there just actors" so i have to convince her there not. Im hopping when we go to disneyland and she sees them she will think otherwise.

oh yeah. When we went 2 yrs ago, DD was 5. That WAS Cinderella you know? this time, she knows they are actors, but she's pretty excited anyway.

When is your trip? Did you see there will some closures next year (like the river and Fantasmic!) for the building of Star Wars land?

Yes F!, the train, the island, Mark Twain and the canoes are all down for about 18 months due to SWL construction.
