Yeah, he won't be happy to hear this. Maybe you can ask Mom if parents who are invading your special trip will foot an extra porportion of the bill.

I'm pretty sure they will pay now that there will be an extra 5 people. Mum and Dad can pay for everything. Naw. They can pay for the flight, room and food. I don't mind paying for my park ticket, Bats Day ticket and souvenirs. It is my birthday, but I don't want them to pay for EVERYTHING. lol

Some say its an 8min walk. This depends mainly on the age of the walkers You and your bf are young people, you can do it in 8-10mins I guess. In my case, it took us about 12-15 mins from hojos parking lot to the security check entrance. We are early 30s couple, a 7yr old, grandparents and strolling a baby

That's not bad at all! I will definitely consider it. Now that 5 more people might be coming along this trip.

Our last trip we stayed at Americas Best Value Inn on Katella and it was great... It has a good pool, hottub and free breakfast. The reason we chose it was it had one bedroom suites for that added privacy for larger groups... So you could get a one bedroom suite for mum and dad and the 3 others and a standard room for yourself... The one bedroom suite had twin doubles in the main room and a single double in the bedroom. Best of all it was only $90 per night including all taxes for the suite... Its about the same walk time as HoJos.. It is near Gardenwalk shopping centre which had a number of bars and restaurants.. Lots of food outlets as well as a 711...

Edit: So Mom just informed it will just be me and my boyfriend because it will be too costly for the 5 of them to tag along as well. :'( That's disappointing. It would've been nice for them to come along.

If just the two of you then Anaheim Plaza has some really good rates and a bit closer, you should be able to get a room there for less than $80 but no breakfast alternatively the Best value would be cheaper again with a breakfast but 5 min further walk distance...

yes i know someone who stayed at the anahiem plaza. and you know the rooms were nice! it had a nice balcony it was good!

Do you guys think I should wait til June to go to DL? I really want to ride The Little Mermaid ride, but I really want to do Bats Day even though I have no clue if I will be able to get tickets for the dinner.

It's a tough call. You may or may not attend the Bats Day event if you go early. If you go late, LM and Star Tours may not be open. New attractions and rehabs are commonly delayed.

You may flip a coin on this one of see when the rooms are cheaper.

It is a tough call. I have no clue when the Little Mermaid ride will be open since they don't have a set date (It's just summer 2011 so it could open in July or August for all I know), but I know when I can get tickets for Bats Day. The biggest thing is airfare.

I think I will stick with going May 4th - 8th. It's two days after my birthday and it's supposed to be a slower time of the year.

I stayed there too! It was a good price and only about a 10 min walk for us!
The staff was super nice as well!
