I purchased this deal for my husband and I, so 2 tickets. It got delivered by UPS in two separate envelopes (possibly on 2 separate days) I was curious if anyone else revenues each ticket individually or this was some weird fluke for me.

Last year the race guide came out August 8, about four weeks out. Not an indication that it’ll be the same date but usually people start to keep an eye out about a month away.

now that we know everyone's schedule we are on the only flight that works and it only works if the expo is open past 7... so... here's hoping. at least I'm only signed up for the half.

I may be misremembering and anything can change, but I believe the Expo is open until 8:00pm on Thursday.

I don't remember what time it closes on Friday, but possibly 8:00pm as well.

The day you really need to be concerned about is Saturday because the Expo typically closes early, maybe around 4:00.

I'm attempting to figure out how to balance the Halloween stuff I'd like to try and the 70th anniversary stuff I'd like to try. Maybe the 70th stuff waits until the Disneyland Half next year.

Immediate thoughts:

- At first glance this looks like a SIGNIFICANTLY better map for park time for the half than what people got in January. That run had people exiting DL shortly after mile 4, which was crazy, this one exits at closeish to 6. Hope this holds up for the race next year.
- No Angels Stadium run. I had heard that they play at home this weekend so I was curious about what they'd do and I guess we have an answer.
- 5k and 10k look like they might be the same as January maps

There was definitely no chance of running through Angels Stadium for the half since the baseball game starts at 1 PM but it is an interesting course. I'll be curious to hear back from people what they think after they run it.

The 5k and 10k look pretty standard, which isn't a problem since they're fun courses.

These maps still make me think that the 10k is the ideal distance for DL. After mile 6 it's just a city run. I'll probably try a DL 10k once (if?) the races come back post-construction.

Saw a complaint about how the second half has a lot of out-and-back, which seems fair, looks like this is meant to reduce quite a few road closures in the area. Roads are wide enough to handle it, doesn't look like its in residential areas, so hopefully they can get some crowd support and entertainment out there.

I actually love out and backs. It’s what I train with cause mentally it breaks up the miles well for me. I also like seeing the fast runners go by the other way during races. For this course, I dont know that area outside the parks at all so not sure what to expect. I am happy to see more park time compared to the course in January.

It looks like they used the fact we can't go to Angels to shove an extra mile into the park since we left the parks at mile 5 last year for the half. Which look going through Angels was nice (even if I hated the Santa Ana section) but if losing that means an extra mile in the parks I'll take the trade off. Especially considering how short Angels is in the overall scheme of things. Gaining more park time is the nicer thing here.
