Hi! First time posting in this area.
I started running for the first time in December. With my running and my 24HR fitness trainer, I have lost 40 pounds
and completed a couple of 5k races here in Vegas last month. I have Pat's Run in Tempe next month, which was my original "running goal".
I am trying to set a new goal to push me for something down the line. I was thinking about the Disneyland Half over Labor Day. I do about 5 miles now on my long runs, so I think it will be achievable. Here is my silly concern...
I have only ever run with my iPod. It is how I have learned to pace my running. I was going to register for the half, but saw the part about NO HEADPHONES. I tried to watch youtube videos to see if people use them or not, and it looked like they were. Just wondering of past experience and how serious they are about that rule. I usually only run with 1 ear piece in. The other option is one of the caps that have the speakers built into the band.
Any thoughts, experiences, ideas???
Thanks for any help anyone can give me with this.
