I suspect they may have made less of them. They got "stuck" with a ton of SS shoes last year and were actually putting them on sale to offload them several months later. That was the first race for the collaboration, so they made a ton. I think they may be honing in on their quantities and what actual demand is.
In another group on FB, someone said the DL shoe sold out at the expo and wouldn't be going online, but I have no idea if that is true or just speculation.
I bought mine on the final day of the expo around noon and they appeared to have most or all sizes still available. So I'm not sure they sold out, but maybe quantities were limited towards the end.

I went to the express try-on area and certain sizes they didn't have labels out for the demo shoes to try on. I asked if that meant those sizes were sold out (seemed like a logical way to indicate a shoe was sold out so someone wouldn't try on the demo and get their hopes up). But they said, no they weren't out of any sizes and the missing labels was inexplicable.What? You mean someone on the internet shared something that was not 100% true????
