Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2025

Don't forget prices also include Photopass. Hopefully their photo teams are better next year.

If I didn't already have PhotoPass included with my Magic Key, this would be a nice perk 🫠

But if the increase goes towards paying for more PP CMs and training for them to get them back up to speed like they used to be, then I'll be less annoyed at the increase. Also would be nice if they brought back the post race photo ops stations.

I know it'll never happen because CrD killed it, but I really wish they'd bring back the early registration perk for passholders. It was less stressful knowing I had two chances.

Looking like one of my friends is out based on the odd mashup theme. Another might join with her girlfriend for the 10k, but I told her while I love her and her girlfriend dearly, I am not going to try to help register them until I'm fully registered.

We'll see what I get. I'm trying for all again, but I'll be in with the general reg again so always a chance of being disappointed. May the odds be in all of our favors for those of us doing general reg!

Need to finish the reg but for anyone wondering what the merch preview. I grabbed photos of it. This will take two photos just due to amount of things to screenshot

IMG_8935.jpegIMG_8934.jpegAt least one new thing in here for me at least with the quilted jacked. I think the empowerment stuff has been at the expo before but first time I’ve seen it in the preview.

Only just now realized that the loungefly they normally haven’t is available for preorder. Curious. Maybe they don’t think the demand is high enough for a preorder?

I doubt there getting rid of it because we’re having one for the Halloween weekend.

Thanks for posting all that @StarGirl11 -- I normally try and grab those but totally forgot since I wasn't planning to register for this weekend. Not to diminish the excitement for anyone who is signing up, but for me personally, between the sorta-not-really-connected themes and this merch preview, any FOMO I may have been feeling is gone.

I'm not loving the merch for this run, which is better for my wallet. I normally try to buy the Magic Key bundle but since there's no spirit jersey included, I'm not as interested. Assuming I get into the 5k and 10k, I might just go with the pin bundles and maybe one of the jackets.

Came back from a board hiatus in time for this announcement! But also not excited for themes :( Still want to do DDD at some point, but maybe won't be 2025. When is the next anniversary year?

When is the next anniversary year?

Honestly, I'm not sure how they're going to be counting this. The Covid year in WDW and the 2017 Half Marathon during January was cancelled due to weather, but they still count, so anniversary years weren't bumped.

But in DL's case, there was a 7 year hiatus over other issues, and registration never even happened during that time period.

I don't think their counting the gap years since by that logic the next anniversary should be 25. Since innagural was 2006. If we counted them it would be 20th. But there not going by the fact theres been no acknolwedgement of it.

Going by the fact they retained legacy status meaning they are counting what happened before the gap. I'm guessing but could be wrong that just picked up the count from the last race weekend which would be the 12th. If that's the case the anniversary should next be in 2026.

If not then at the latest it would be 2028 but I do suspect it will be 2026 for the half.

Dumbo should gets anniversary eventually as well but considering we barely made it to 5 before hiatus don't expect that until 2028 period.

I am going to try to register my DD for the 10k tomorrow morning. Does she need her own Disney account? Would I have a better chance (quicker) if she had her own account? I am not participating so she is on her own this year.

It doesn't matter. You'll enter her into on the registration screen, and she'll get an email inviting her to take over the registration after you finish getting it. But she can take it any time before getting her bib

Howdy all! I haven't posted here in years since it's been years since I've ran in a runDisney event :)

I had a couple of questions regarding Disneyland Half Marathon registration.

I am trying to register for my two daughters, along with some of their friends. It could be 6 people. Do you recommend having one person trying to register everyone at the same time or splitting up? I know there's a risk that some may get in, and some may not... and I know that it sold out last year within an hour... so I'm just trying to give us the best chance, hoping that all can get in.

Also - is there anything we can do in advance from a pre-registration standpoint, or is it pretty much just a speed exercise to enter everyone's information in enough time to get in?

Finally, is there a link that has the information that they will be asking, so we're prepared in advance? If we register for everyone, I don't want to be texting them in the process with anything we may have missed.

Thanks in advance!

@DopeyBadger has a great write up on how registration works here:

But it looks like you need from everyone: Name, Gender, Shirt Size, DOB, Email, Address, Phone, and Emergency Contact information.

And registering everyone at once vs one at a time. It depends. If it's everyone or no one, then do everyone at once. If there are some people where this is non-negotiable, and for others, it's nice to have, then get the must-haves first, then take care of the rest after.

The big thing, you don't have a registration until it's paid for AND you get the e-mail confirmation. Charges can still go on your card, but you don't be in, especially if you manage to register right after the sell-out cut off. At that point, your CC charges will eventually not be processed.

Thanks very much! This is extremely helpful

Legacy Dumbo here. So definitely in for the challenge again. Will register for the 5K via Club rD. Staying at VGC.
I am both happy and disappointed by the theming. I love Groot and Ahsoka. I am disappointed because mashing Avengers and Star Wars characters into Dumbo Challenge implies there won’t be separate Avengers and Star Wars race weekends. 😭😭
I'm not even so sure we're getting Avengers and Star Wars themes for the shorter distances every year. I figured that Star Wars as a permanent race weekend was never coming back once they dropped the theme at WDW.

I think some of the Loungefly merchandise for this year made it to the general public getting into the merchandise area without an virtual queue. I know I picked up the medal carrier after 6:00p;m this year. And it's possible that I'll be wildly wrong, but I was stunned by how much merchandise was still available after 6:00pm this year for the return of runDisney to the west coast.

I appreciate seeing the merch previews. I'm already banned from any new race jackets for at least one year after this year. Very little of the race merchandise appeals at all to me this year so I'll take my chances at the Expo.

I suppose I find out tomorrow whether or not I'll be running the races.

To reiterate what @nekonekoneko said, the #1 advice to securing registrations under the current system is multiple devices and multiple browsers. Each individual browser (like Chrome vs Firefox vs Oprah) is like a lottery ticket. Non-incognito additional of the same browser (like two Chrome on the same iPad) offers no advantage. The lottery ticket could be a 5 min wait or a 60 min wait. As far as we know, every lottery ticket is equal prior to registration opening. So having just your iPad with chrome open is one chance at a shorter wait. But having four devices (two iPads, a phone, and a laptop) with each having three browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) gives you 12 lottery tickets and enhances your odds one will be good. Ultimately it would be better if each sign-in was a single lottery ticket for everyone, but this is the system we have.

whyyyyyy does DL get pandora charms, PW gets pandora charms, but MW gets none? Also, that women's jacket is cute. Am I running this weekend? Nope.
