Disneyland Half Expo Parking?

I searched here and through the information on Disney's website but couldn't find and answer. Where should we park for the packet pickup at the Expo next weekend?

Can we park at the Disneyland Hotel's parking since the Expo is there? Does anyone know if they charge by the hour? I'd hate to park in the Mickey & Friends parking structure to leave such a short time later.

Isn't there parking at Downtown Disney that is shorter term?

I don't remember if it is open or not, but when you turn into the parking area (for Mickey & Friends, DL Hotel, and DTD) there is a short term parking for DTD. The first 3 hours are free in that parking lot, unless it has changed the past couple of months. There should be signs that direct you to the right area. If I remember correctly, when you turn into that area, for the DTD parking you will turn left and then into the lot. I just don't remember if the lot is open, b/c it's near that staging area for Sunday. I think it is, but I'm not 100% positive. They will definitely have signs saying that the lot is closed though.

The DTD parking lot should be open on Friday and Saturday. The first 3 hours are free and if you decide to eat at one of the sit down restaurants in DTD, you can get your ticket stub validated and you get an additional two hours.

If any part of the lot is closed it will be the overflow lot to the right when you first enter, but I doubt they will close any part of it until Sunday.

Thank you both so much for the replies! I'll try for DTD and see what happens. I've never parked there before and can't picture the turn. We usually take the I-5 southbound carpool exit that, after a quick left turn, gives us the choice to take the left lanes up the overpass to the parking structure or stay right toward the hotels. We usually go left to the parking structure as we've only stayed in the Disney hotels twice. Would we go right toward Disneyland Drive?

If I remember correctly, you do take the Disneyland Drive exit. If you take the regular exit, not the carpool one, you curve around to a stoplight. There you'll want to turn left. That is DL Dr. You go past an AM/PM and then over the overpass and the entrance from the right lane. You will be turning right to get access to the DTD Lot. Don't remember about relation to the Mickey and Friends, but there will be a side road, maybe Magic Way? There is a small stoplight and it's there you'll turn left, you then go through the gates where you get the parking lot ticket and will turn left again into the lot itself.

If you've run the race before, the street you are looking for is the side street to DL Dr where some of the corrals are. There are the first corrals on the main street itself, and then I think Corrals G and H on the side. This is the road to turn on.

The carpool exit and the regular freeway exit will take you to the same stoplight.
