Disneyland Girls Only Trip thread

It was so cool meeting every one I think it woud be really cool to try and set up some more frequent "locals" day/s, that maybe others can also do. Maybe a day in the park and dinner once a month or every other month. With one day its not as hard to find babysitters for the kids or even bring them along!

Shelly (castleeto) I had a great time hanging out with you too! I am so glad we did Space Mountain!

Beth I am so sorry I missed meeting you, but am so glad you got to come out!!!

I am sad though that in the end I lost my little bunny But I think some wonderful child found it and loves it and I am going to stick to that story haha!

ETA- Hey I scored a Tag Fairy treat! WOOO HOOO!!! I do like me the bunnies!!! Funny tag since you might not know I have bunnies tattoo on my back hehe!

I was going to ask you if that was a new tag! I thought it was. Congrats!!

I want to see your bunny tattoo! Well, wait. Not if it's someplace private.
But I love tattoos. I almost got one once here in Vegas but the place I went to wanted 200 bucks for a small heart with some barbed wire around it and I just thought that was a bit steep.

No time to post a whole lot yet, it's taken me almost an hour just to get caught up, and now I have to run out again! It was SO MUCH FUN this weekend! I now know that there are other women who are even more obsessed with Disney than I am, not that my DH would believe that!!!

I wish we all could have been there for a week, could you imagine the havoc!?! My DD, Christine, had a lot of fun too, and loved meeting all those that she did. And a HUGE TY to Cheryl for the store trip, it was awesome!!! And Callie and Ellen, what can I say? We'll definitely do that again, SOON!!

Time to go, but I'll be back!!!

Oh, and we got dreamed yesterday!!! Callie, Ellen and I!!! All we got were dream fastpasses, but the CM who gave them to us had given the Dream Suite earlier in the day!! Too bad she couldn't have waited for us!!!

Hi ladies! So good to be home, but already missing the ladies and all the fun we had.

I loved meeting *most* of you, even it was only to hand you a lanyard.
I probably would have been able to hang out with you more if I met up for the meals, but as I explained to some, I have a pretty nervous stomach and DLR and just can't eat that much, so I just kind of snack and eat light.

Hi there! Yes, the tag fairy has certainly been extra busy recently.

The grilled cheese one came from a thread on the community board. Someone started a thread saying how setting up a website was really intimidating them, and they asked the question, "What intimidates you?"

The first thing that came to mind was making a grilled cheese sandwich. I can bake and cook pretty well, but for some reason when I try to make a sandwich it either burns, or the cheese won't melt, or the bread tears, etc. so there ya have it.

The funny thing was after I posted that, I had several DISers come on and post instructions on how to make the perfect grilled cheese.

One more thing I wanted to add:

Steph (21Yankees') Brown/Pink Divas shirt never made it to her. Even though I am 100% sure it was at the hotel with the other shirts, when she went to pick it up, it wasn't there. It was a size XL and had the name "Steph" on the white tape. Did anyone happen to see it or grab it by mistake?? I feel really bad that she didn't get to wear it on Saturday since she paid for it.

So I'm back again. Today I went to the zoo with my little sister on her field trip. WOW it is so hot today! I got sunburned on my arms because sunscreen wasn't even a thought in my head.

I still laugh when I think of Stacie dancing in the target aisle after she found SPF80 Oh girl, you make me crack up!

Sounds like you girls had a great rest of the weekend. And I'm so jealous that Chris was able to see Wicked! I've been wanting to see it forever. And Callie getting dreamed is awesome! It's funny because Steph and I reallly wanted to get dream fast passes so we head over to BTMRR, since we heard some things about it being a hotspot. Oh well, not this time I guess.

I'm sorry you didn't get to do the pic thing. I didn't think we were going to either until someone in row 2 or 3 (I really wasn't looking at the time) must have started it because it seemed like everyone in them was doing pictures.

Nice Pic, Steph! Congrats to you and Lynn for meeting Guy Fieri. What was he talking about at Food & Wine?

He made a Hong Kong noodle with Chicken that was really good and he made a Jumbalya (butchered that one) sandwich that was amazing. He talked about how the state of California has passed legislation that the 2nd Saturday in May is now Cook with Your Kids day, he really talked about this a bit. More along the lines to include childhood obesity and if we as parents teach our kids how to eat healthy it shouldn't be an issue. Also he talked about the possibility of doing a live show in New York similar to Emril and asked for all to e-mail Foodnetwork about that idea.

It was nice to meet you too. Hope to see you next year and of course talk online here.

Now I can see what is so special about him and why everyone wants to find him! I'll PM you with the Shutterfly info although so far I don't think there's much in it. I put some pics in of me and my kids before I knew I was going to get to meet some of you, just so you could see that I was real.

OKay, so I was talking with my DH tonight about our June trip. We are going with the kids so it's going to be kind of hectic for me, BUT we arrive on June 7. That's a Saturday and it's a block out day for my DH and kids. I'm the only one with a Premium pass.

The plan was to just hang out by the pool that day or go to DTD, but my DH said if I wanted to see if anyone local wants to meet up that day for a few hours in the park and a dinner, that he'd keep the kids with him.

So, if there is anyone who can be there on June 7 and wants to meet up, I'm totally for it! I probably won't be there until around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I don't care what we do. We can have a dinner, shop in DTD, go to the parks, whatever! I'm easy.

Let me know if anyone is interested and let's see if we can pull off a mini ladies meet.
